The front 2024 Ford Maverick passenger CV axle has failed, currently leaking grease. Ford has not rolled out a recall for the 2024 Ford Maverick, unlike the prior Maverick years. The vehicle produces the same symptoms as described in the 2022 recall of Ford Mavericks with aggressive shaking from 45mph-60mph. This renders the vehicle a safety hazard as it alters the way the vehicle drives.

    1. 50% of my braking results in grinding stop where it jumps and doesn’t stop all the way at first, this is even driving at slow speeds of 25 mph. 2. When my truck was set on cruise control approx 70mph and all of a sudden started decelerating on its own and nothing I did made it accelerate. I had to coast/slow brake to pull over, cut the car off and then restart it to begin driving again.

I was about 50 feet behind the vehicle and braking when this occurred. I was lucky that the car behind did not rear end me. My 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid rolled backward while in park. I push-started the truck and then turned on the A/C to start cooling the cabin. I left the driver’s side door open as I stepped out to begin loading my 8-month-old baby’s stroller. The open door bumped my back, so I quickly jumped back into the vehicle to press the brake. The truck eventually stopped, but not before the door folded out and scraped the entire side of a parked car. I called the police to make a report.
