The problem

Mci is recalling certain model year 2010 j4500 motor coaches manufactured from october 2009 through august 2010, and equipped with braun wheelchair lifts. The electrical and hydraulic lines that service the wheelchair lifts may be routed or clamped in a way that could result in the lines being pinched during lift operation.

The risk

This could result in a fire causing personal injury or property damage.

The fix

Mci will improve the routing and clamping of the hydraulic and electrical lines servicing the braun wheelchair lifts. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall began on march 14, 2011. Owners may contact mci customer service at 1-800-241-2947.
