The problem

Crossroads is recalling certain model year 2012 elevation recreational vehicles, manufactured from november 7, 2011, through february 22, 2012. The onboard, auxiliary fuel storage tank is installed too high, which does not permit the tank to be filled properly. As a result, fuel may come back out of the fuel filler neck and spill.

The risk

In the presence of an ignition source, this could cause a fire or an explosion which may result in personal injury or death.

The fix

Crossroads will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel tank mounting brackets free of charge. The recall began on june 28, 2012. Owners may contact thor at 937-596-6849 or crossroads at 260-593-2866.
