The problem
International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025 IC Bus CECB buses equipped with halogen headlights. When the high beams are activated, the low beams turn off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The risk
Headlight low beam failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25503.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to nhtsa.gov.
