The bracket which attaches the awning to the roof of the RV Is separating from the roof. The mounting screws are pulling out of the roof. I intend to bring it to the dealer for repair. There was no warning that this situation was occurring. I was inspecting the awning due to a different awning recall issue and found this condition. If it had gone undetected, it would have eventually separated from the roof and could have caused major damage to my vehicle or other vehicles on…

The awning is self deploying. Sent in for a recall and still an issue. With phone calls to the supplier of the Awning (Carefree Awnings of Colorado) their customer service is suggesting a on off switch. Winnebago are not agreeing with a on off switch, and the are installing a motor brake wedge and a software update. This is not safe, the awning is still self deploying. This is a major safety risk for property damage and or life threatening road debris.

A few days later (today) while driving, the door to the compartment behind the Propane one popped open. By the time I realized it I had hit a couple of traffic cones.
