Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Escape and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines. The engine oil separator housing may crack and develop an oil leak.
Risk: An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the oil separator for damage or oil leaks, and replace the oil separator and seals, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 18, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S21.

My 2022 Ford Bronco Sport exhibits severe engine knocking and low fuel pressure, which are primary symptoms of open safety recalls 24S16 and 25S76. On 9/29/26, Seelye Ford of Kalamazoo charged me $220.21 out-of-pocket for a powertrain recall system software update. They are now refusing to inspect the physical fuel injectors or complete the safety recalls unless I pay out-of-pocket to replace an unrelated push-to-start button module, holding a federal safety recall hostage.…

My 2022 Bronco Sport suffered a physical underhood engine fire due to Recall 25S76 / Campaign 25V467. Ford Corporate is refusing to provide a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation, leaving me stranded while the vehicle sits unrepairable at a Ford dealership awaiting a final hardware remedy that does not yet exist. We have also been denied the Ford Buy Back program even though we COULDNT and were BLOCKED to set a maintenance appointment for said recall to attempt to…

My vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V467 / Ford Recall 25S76 for a fuel injector that may crack and leak fuel into the engine compartment, creating a risk of fire. The recall was issued in July 2025 and remains open more than a year later. Ford has provided an interim PCM software update intended to detect a leaking injector and mitigate the fire risk, but this does not replace the defective fuel injectors and the recall remains open. Ford states that a final remedy is…

Oil pump solenoid has been replaced 3 times and the vehicle is under 100,000 miles. There is a low oil light illuminates on dash board in addition to acceleration lose and a white smoke coming from under the hood and the back end of the vehicle. The 6th or 7th time this happened the Bronco had to be towed. There were many more problems included in this tow, powertrain failure, engine misfire, loss of power, crackling, popping sound from under the hood.

Vehicle developed a hum when accelerating on July 5, 2026. Made an appointment with the dealership to have it diagnosed. They could not get me in until July 16, 2026. On July 15, 2026, the vehicle went into limp mode and had to be driven at an unsafe speed to the dealership to diagnose and repair the issue. There are 81,000 miles on the vehicle. The issue turned out to be a cracked catalytic converter. The catalytic converter had previous been replaced in August 2025 due to…

Vehicle: 2022 Ford Bronco Sport I am submitting this complaint due to an ongoing and potentially dangerous issue involving my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport shutting off unexpectedly while in operation. Check engine light turned on. Dealership inspected it and advised me there was a PO456 error code. My understanding is that a P0456 code on a 2022 Ford Bronco indicates a very small leak in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system, which prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. The most common cause is a faulty canister purge valve. The dealership advised me that this issue was not converted under warranty or covered by Ford, so it would be out of pocket to the…
