As I am driving and I make a turn, the wheel actually locks and I cannot steer. It was very frightening. At first I thought it was the lane change device, but I made sure that was off, and it happened twice more. I had the car towed to the Napleton Hyundai dealership in Lake park, FL and they said the entire steering column needs to be replaced. They quoted over $10,000 for the repair. THe car is a 2017 Genesis G80 with 23,000 original miles. THere were no warning lamps or…

This vehicle experienced an engine overheating failure while driving, five days after a cooling-system repair (radiator hoses, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs) had been completed at the dealership. The dashboard displayed an explicit "Engine has overheated" warning, and the vehicle could not continue to be driven. The vehicle was returned to the dealership. Per their own written statement, there were "no signs of engine damage related to the overheating concern" at that…

When you press on the gas accelerator- the car only moves at a few miles per hour. This is intermittent but makes the car undriveable and very dangerous to drive in traffic. The throttle body was replaced but now geneis says it is another electrical issue and the car needs a new harness- but gensis no longer makes this part (the harness) so genesis even under my warranty cannot fix the car genesis says it is a harness issue and they don't have and cannot get the part- hence…

While driving the engine simply stops and won't restart. When this happens, the key fob won't lock the car or unlock the trunk. The trunk opening button won't open the trunk. It just flashes the parking light and gives a sound.

At 63,230 miles the engine oil pressure light would illuminate on my 2017 Genesis G80. I took it to the dealer and the technician found the oil pressure switch on my car went bad and in the words of the mechanic was leaking internally. This is a known issue by Genesis/Hyundai as they are performing repairs in Korea (where this vehicle is built and assembled) for this very problem. But in America they are refusing to honor the warranty which under powertrain is valid for 10…
