The vehicle was being driven from work to home on the interstate, when a loud ticking/knocking noise was heard while exiting the interstate. The motor lost power when trying to accelerate while pulling into our driveway. It was noticed that the "Service Transmission" light came on as well. It was towed to the Chevrolet dealership in Bardstown, KY where they did diagnostic testing and stated that the motor had "locked up" and will have to be replaced. The service person at…

The transmission went out on my 2022 GMC Yukon XL. The GMC dealership identified the part needing to be replaced is the Transmission Valve Body. This is the exact part that GM Internal Recall Number N252536750NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V-085 says has been recalled for year 2022 GMC Yukon XLs, and yet, my vehicle's VIN number is not on the recall list. I think it is a transmission type of failure. I'm not sure of the exact mechanical specifics. While putting the vehicle in reverse, driving and or accelerating it feels like the transmission is locking up and then releasing, and then locking up again. It felt very dangerous for that to happen while driving down the road. I took the vehicle to a local mechanic that was near by for assistance and he said I should take it to a dealership because there was a recall due to that…

My 2022 GMC Yukon XL with the 6.2L L87 engine was previously subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-274 / GM Recall N252494000 for L87 engine loss of propulsion. The recall was closed by the dealer as “PicoScope Inspection — Engine Passed / Update Engine Oil Type,” with the oil/cap/filter remedy. I was driving down the road and my vehicle went into limp mode, and I had reduced acceleration. I got to my destination then could not reverse the vehicle out of the parking space, reverse would not engage and allow me to have acceleration power. Because the parking space was on an incline we could roll backwards then drive forward, in limp mode, to a nearby mechanic. The vehicle diagnostic codes they got were: no reverse, p0700, p0776 and p18a1. They told us the repair…
