On July 14, 2026, I experienced a serious fuel system failure with my 2023 GMC Denali. That morning, I filled the vehicle with a little over 20 gallons of fuel at a gas station approximately two miles from my home. Later in the day, I made a short trip to my neighborhood swimming pool, roughly 1.5 miles round trip, with no unusual noises or warnings from the vehicle. Approximately two hours after returning home, I entered the vehicle to run an errand. When I shifted into…

The car just died while going 55mph on the highway. Complete shutdown but luckily both the steering and brakes worked. After stopping it wouldn’t start again. I had my three children in the car aged [XXX], [XXX], and [XXX]. It was a horrific experience. GMC did some repairs to the engine that took over two months and then the car had a few more warnings pop up just a few weeks later. GMC now says there is a misfiring in one of the positions. I’m terrified of driving this car…

The vehicle has the L87 GM engine. It lost complete power and the engine seized up and would not start again. Fortunately I was able to roll into a neighborhood and get off the main road with no issues. The dealer has confirmed the seized engine and a replacement engine has been ordered with no ETA. There was no prior warning of the failure, besides a shuddering, like I was running out of gas, and then a lose of complete power.

My vehicle was one of the vehicles that was subject to the engine failure recall by GM. I took it to the dealership for the “repair“ where I was told the oil was changed to a different weight. Last night, I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my car just stopped. It still had power, but the engine had stopped. I tried to restart was unable to.

Good afternoon, My 2023 GMC Yukon XL AT4 with the 6.2L L87 engine (approx. 61,000 miles) suffered a sudden and complete engine failure at highway speed while I was driving between Canton, OH, and Columbus, OH, on the expressway, returning to my home in Cincinnati. There was no warning before the engine lost all power and propulsion. I was traveling in the left lane of the interstate in moderately heavy traffic. It has been several months since recall on L87 was issued. My truck now has over 44k miles and I’ve contacted the dealer, they note there’s no fix in sight. I’ve been having some issues with engine sluggishness on acceleration at times and I’m concerned this is related to the recall. I’m now stuck with this potentially dangerous vehicle with no fix, and am concerned. I also can’t get a fiar trade in value due to open recall. Overall, I’m stuck with a defective vehicle that…

I own a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali XL (VIN: [XXX] ) currently under active recall for the L87 6.2L engine. GM has no remedy available and has acknowledged a risk of complete engine failure and loss of propulsion, which could occur without warning. This is the primary vehicle I have for transporting my family of seven, including a toddler. I am significantly upside down on the loan, and the dealership cannot guarantee it is safe to drive.
