Under Hyundai Recall 290, the dealership permanently removed the functional trailer light wiring harness and replaced it with a nonfunctional rubber dust cap. A Hyundai case manager informed me that a replacement harness is "in development," but official NHTSA remedy filings show the cap is the final remedy, resulting in the permanent loss of a factory feature I paid for. The removal of towing functionality without a clear timeline for a safe replacement parts remedy…

The vehicle developed an intermittent but potentially dangerous engine control malfunction. After the engine reached normal operating temperature, the engine speed (RPM) would repeatedly surge while the vehicle was stopped in Park and Neutral, fluctuating from approximately 1,000 RPM to over 3,000 RPM without any throttle input from the driver. The condition occurred with the air conditioning turned off and could be reproduced multiple times. At approximately the same time,…

I received a letter in March that there is a problem with The Tow Hitch Harness Accessory which could lead to a fire etc. They said they will come out with a repair. I contacted the Victory Hyundai dealership in Jefferson Ohio where I got the car in April and they said they have a repair but the trailer electrical/ lights will not work. I got a second letter saying they have a solution for repair in May I contacted Classic Hyundai twice to make sure the repair now will allow…

Horn on vehicle consistently goes out. Either goes out entirely or the volume of the horn is below a safe level. This is a known Hyundai issue and Hyundai refuses to acknowledge it on this specific model, but has acknowledged it on different models. I Have had multiple repairs by Hyundai directly, and the horn consistently keeps going out. There are sometimes in dangerous situations where I need to utilize the horn to avoid an accident and warn other drivers of danger, and I…

I received a Recall notice around January 2026 for the trailer hitch wiring harness on my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. For 6 months the local dealer told me there was no fix available from Hyundai. I finally received a notice informing me that parts were now available and to bring it in to dealer for repairs. I took the vehicle in for recall repairs on May 27, 2026. Instead of repairing/replacing the wiring harness, Hyundai removed the entire wiring harness making the trailer…

Major problems with this cars electrical and computer systems. Six warning lights would begin to flash in succession. Eventually car would be inoperative leaving us stranded in July 2025 in Cumberland MD then after supposed repair we were again stranded in Providence RI on Nov 20, 2025 and car has been there for repair ever since. No completion date has yet been given. I strongly believe there are major safety problems with this car.

As I was parking my car in a parking spot going about 5 miles or less. My car surged forward at a very accelerated speed, and I ended up running into a brushed and a metal fence, which is what stopped me. There were no warnings that went off on my car. No emergency brakes, nothing.

my 2023 Hyundai Tucson has had the horn replaced twice. the technician indicated this is a common problem due to the location of the horn its susceptible to water damage rendering it useless. The horn is something rarely used and we were not aware it did not work until we tried to use it to alert a car entering our lane of traffic!

Approximately 2-3 months ago, the horn had failed. This was reported to the dealer and covered under warranty. During the service the dealer advised that this issue was due to a faulty electrical contact and was a “known issue with the supplier of the horn”. Because of this, Hyundai extended the warranty period on the horn. Now, the horn had failed a second time and was discovered during a safety hazard in which I needed to alert another driver. This had the potential to…
