Dealership and corporate Hyundai acknowledged the problem, but would not help cover any of the costs.    The Rods are going bad , and Hyundai doesn’t want to admit that they did a horrible job with the engine and they don’t want to replace the engine , unless the car is a 2013 or 2016 which is ridiculous. They don’t want to honor their word.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MHP, there was a loud knocking sound coming from the engine compartment before the vehicle lost motive power and stalled.
