   While approaching a stop sign at a speed of less than 10mph with my wife and three small children in the car, the engine shut off and the steering/braking became degraded. I was able to restart the car after stopping, but the auto start / etorque does not appear to be working any more. I will be dropping the car off for diagnostics, but after some research this appears to be a common issue which is already under investigation.

   I was stopped at a red light, stacked about 10 cars deep. Once the light turned green, I pressed the gas pedal, but the auto start-stop feature malfunctioned and turned the car completely off. I then pressed the button to reactivate the ignition, and pressed the gas pedal again. After moving forward a few car lengths (or more), the computer engaged the emergency brake and clamped down on the wheels. I was then rear-ended at about 15-20mph.

    We issued a complaint on 12/2/2024 (#11628353). The dealership found our alternator to be faulty which caused the battery to fail the SUV to completely shut down. This happened again to us on 4/6/2025 with a full vehicle of passengers.
