After application of the most recent battery recall/Software update, 68C, the vehicle operates differently than it previously did. In fact, it now nearly stalls while climbing a hill to my home when the battery charge indicated is less than about 35%. Vehicle speed drops from 25 to nearly 5mph, independent of accelerator pedal position, before the engine starts abruptly. Not only am I creating a traffic hazard for those behind me, but the cold gas engine engages at full…

This vehicle has become unsafe to drive and no longer has the performance that it had when originally purchased since the 68C recall. In electric mode, I experience low power and the acceleration is almost non-existent. This has caused significant safety issues when merging onto highways and maintaining flow of traffic speeds on hills. In electric mode, after about 10-15 mins, it will also abruptly start the engine and spike at 4K RPM (even when the vehicle is not under…

After 68C my Jeep doesn't respond the way it used to, theres reduced power when staying with the flow of traffic or climbing hills. It seems to be unsafe bc I can't accelerate like I used to, I think Jeep is limiting the power

Manufacturer corporate and its dealer network are failing to provide a safe, timely remedy for a vehicle subject to high-voltage battery fire recalls (Recall 68C / NHTSA Campaign 25V-741) and a power steering fire recall (Recall 21D / NHTSA Campaign 21V-363). The vehicle has an active check engine light, a disabled hybrid propulsion system, and has now suffered a catastrophic electronic brake booster failure on a college campus, rendering the brake pedal rock-hard like…

After completing the Jeep Wrangler 4XE '68C' recall, my Wrangler started having erratic RPM / engine surges. Moreover, the powertrain system will jump between electric and hybrid gas (ICE) modes while driving at highway speeds when in 'Electric' mode. It actually does this in Hybrid mode but Electric mode is far worse. The Jeep did not do this before completing the 68C recall. The safety issue is erratic RPM and engine surges. The battery will have plenty of charge and…

My vehicle is currently in the shop getting the High voltage battery replaced for the second time due to a code showing battery voltage variation as well as getting the latest 21D recall completed. The Jeep currently has about 90,000 miles and has received all other recalls. The jeep no longer functions or performs like it did when I took ownership in February of 2022. It routinely loses power when trying to accelerate onto Highways or into traffic lanes or up hills. You can…

Since recall 68C was completed in February, the performance of the vehicle in Electric mode has degraded significantly. Prior to 68C, the gas engine was nearly impossible to engage in electric mode which was a good thing and clearly intended for extreme circumstances where unusually rapid acceleration was required. Also prior to 68C the electric acceleration was dependable and predictable both around town and at highway speeds. I live atop a 1.5 mile hill and could travel…

I had a 68c recall completed by Jeep and immediately after the recall, I noticed a reduction in power when accelerating, which causes me issues when trying to merge on the freeway and stay with the flow of traffic. This has been an ongoing daily issue. Also, the gas engine kicks on when it should not and loads immediately causing an erratic shifting of the gas engine, which causes the vehicle to lose power when it is needed the most. The recall was designed to supposedly…

When driving my Jeep 4xe hybrid powertrain in "electric" mode, I noticed loss of power at highway speeds, and other times at lower speeds. Pushing on gas pedal doesn't translate to acceleration. Engine kicks on but doesn't have a gear to find. This happens at various speeds, going 25mph up a hill or 55mph on a highway either flat or up a hill.

This vehicle had a 68c recall (software) that has resulted in a significant change in the vehicle performance that resulted in unexpected power loss during its electric vehicle propulsion system that has nearly resulted in accidents on the road and on the freeway. This never happened before and it happens often now. The Jeep dealership claims there are no known error malfunction codes however there has been a material change in the operating environment and is very unsafe.
