on 9/15/2026 (9:30am), I used the Nissan app to unlock my car to get my sunglasses. The car unlocked fine. I retrieved the sunglasses and tried to use the app to lock the doors but the app said the doors could not lock bc the car thought the trunk was open. (it was not) It did finally lock the doors, but kept giving me a message that the trunk was open. The trunk was not open. I have cell phone video of this. No one is pushing the button on the key fob) After injuring 2 of my family members, we are now very cautious when using the liftgate. One person must be standing under the liftgate to make sure it doesn't close umprompted and hurt anyone. (I have notified Nissan and the NHTSA about the 2 incidents with…

I picked up my adult daughter from the LAX on August 5th at 9:00am. I was in the driver’s seat and pushed the button to open the liftgate, so she could load her luggage. As she was loading her luggage, the power liftgate closed on her - unprompted. It hit her in the back of the head. (across the back, near the base of her skull) She yelled at me for "closing the trunk on her head" but I did not hit any button. She had a really bad headache for an hour or so, but later that…

I have a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The back window spontaneously "popped" and shattered. I understand there is an issue with 2025 Rogue doing this. I purchased mine in October of 2025. I was in the drivers seat and had pushed the rear hatch button to open it. It went up approximately 1/2 way and there was a loud "pop", to the point my neighbors came out to see what happened. I called my dealership and they had me bring it in. They informed me there was no recall for the glass and…
