2026 Ram Promaster recalls (5)
- STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Ram 1500 Promaster, Ram 2500 Promaster, Ram 3500 Promaster, and 2024-2026 Ram 3500 Electric (EV) vehicles. Water may enter the electric power steering wiring harness, which can disable power steering assist.
Risk: A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring harness and electronic power steering gear, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed November 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 92D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 6, 2026.
- BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Compass, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, Ram Promaster, Ram Promaster EV, Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid, Chrysler Voyager, and 2026-2027 Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Charger vehicles. The rearview camera image may fail to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview camera image that fails to display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Radio software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning September 2, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 78D. - SEAT BELTS:CRITICAL FASTENERS
Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles equipped with Q'Straint's One-Combo Belt, with part number TX11258-BA. The wheelchair seat belts may have incompatible connectors and fail to properly restrain occupants.
Risk: Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the seat belt, free of charge. Owners may contact Braun's customer service at 1-800-488-0359.
- SEATS:MID/REAR ASSEMBLY
Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The rear bench may have only two of four seat legs installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
Risk: An incomplete seat may not properly restrain an occupant, increasing risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install two additional seat legs, free of charge. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.
- ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The electrical circuit for the radiator fan may overheat.
Risk: Electrical circuits that overheat increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooling fan module and fuse. In addition dealers will provide an addendum for the manual and label for the power distribution center. Some interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 11, 2025. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 11, 2025. Additional owner notification letters were mailed in January, March, and June 2026. Remaining owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 67C, B3C, and C9C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 30, 2025.

Repeated warnings on dash that the airbags are inoperable - see dealer followed by center screen warning that the SOS systems is inoperable. Then the center display shuts down. Consequently I have to reset the back up camera system by going into vehicle settings to reactivate it.

The contact owns a 2026 Ram Promaster 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V720000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
