    BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE

    Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2024 Tiguan vehicles previously repaired under recall 25V082. An error may occur in the camera control unit at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

    Risk: A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will update the camera control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 4, 2026. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 91NF. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 27, 2026.

    Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Tiguan, 2023 Arteon, and 2024-2025 Audi Q3 vehicles. An error may occur in the camera control unit at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

    Risk: A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will update the camera control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed to Audi owners April 3, 2024, and Volkswagen owners November 18, 2025.Volkswagen owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298 or Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's numbers for this recall are (Volkswagen) 91NY and (Audi) 90AV.

    My entire infotainment system went black and a warning about the SOS system failing came up on the dash. My back up camera does not work, the SOS system does not work, radio, charger, etc. I called VW Customer Care who sent me to the dealership.     2024 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line stalls completely while driving at local speeds with no warning. The vehicle has been to the dealership 4 times for the exact same safety issue. The dealership On The First 3 Attempts has changed the throttle body, start-stop mechanism, and battery, but cannot fix or diagnose the stalling. Now The Car Is Again In The Shop For The 4th Time And I’m Still Waiting For A Answer The Car Has Been Sitting In The Shop Since September 21st and No Answer…

    On multiple occasions, while actively steering, I have gotten a warning on the dash to take over steering. Within seconds, the car brakes hard. I am typically in interstate traffic when this occurs.This happens when using cruise control. Speed does not matter as it has happened at 40 mph, 70 mph, and in between these two.

    The contact owns at 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the radio screen was distorted or blank. The failure was a recurring failure.     Symptoms started at 65k-70k miles, just after 50k warranty expired. First symptom was low oil warning and needing to add oil between changes. Then oil spots, then i found a bad leak and replaced oil pan, timing chain cover and assembly, turbo actuator.     I was driving Eastbound on I-94 at 6am pitch black dark out and looked down at my dog and veered off to the grated area of the highway and the nosie startled my dog and he jumped, hitting my arm and the front left wheel went off the road and i lost control at about 50mph after braking and swerving and we hit the guardrailand scraped.the cables and rail and lost bumper, 2 tires and front end without airbags going off.
