Coach door hinge (strut) came loose on a trip from OH to main in 2023. (Wind and rain was penetrating into the coach). We feared that the door would completely blow open. We called a roadside repairman who tightened it but could not repair the strut or make the seal tight. Once returned to Ohio we took it to have it repaired- some adjustments were made however the door continues to loosen with use. Seal and strut were not working as they should. However, due to job transfer,…

This awning system has been used on all 2020+ Winnebago View models. I own a 2022 Winnebago View that has a curbside awning system installed that is identical to the awning referenced in NTHSB Recall Notice 22V-695. 2020 view is all new design including the coach door which is the major exit for normal use as well as emergencies. The door's locking mechanism fails if an attempts is made to open the door from inside and outside at the same time. This results in the door not locking or staying closed. This happened to us on a trip recently and we were 350 miles from home. We had to literally tie the door down with ratcheting straps to keep it from flying open on the highway. The passenger…
