The electric power steering assembly has failed. I will be driving and my power steering will cut out with no warning, the sensor light is on constantly. Turning it off will sometimes fix it but not for long. It will affect my cruise control at times as well

It started about seven months ago when you pull over shut off the truck open the door to break continuity for the electrical system close the door and start it. It goes back to working normal. It’s gotta be part of the connections underneath the power steering assembly unit itself, but there is no recall for my specific…

Had 3 instances of loss of power steering while driving, first time at 5-10 mph, 4/2/2024, then on way home 2 times speeds approx. 45 mph. When checked with a vehicle diagnostic machine it was learned that I had a Loss Of Power Steering Assist. After having the latest recall repair done on my truck which involved working within the steering column, the key gets VERY HOT and STICKS/HANGS. This was not an issue until the recall "fix". I had the key tumbler replaced, I was told this may fix the problem, but it didn't.
