General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles. The vehicles may have a temporary loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist, especially during low-speed turning maneuvers.

The whole system shut down once already when turning around in a driveway. I have a new battery. Spark plugs are good. ABS is good. There are no recalls I can find, but this must be electrical somehow. Help me pls before it causes an accident.

I’m afraid to drive it. I almost hit a lady while turning in a parking lot because the steering went out and it died. Sometime it’s hard to turn the key to start the truck.
