Well taken care of 2020 trailboss upper control arm completely failed driving down the interstate with family in the truck. Suspect defect from ball joints. Only 68k miles. No warnings. Tire fell into suspension causing thousands in damage. Had to be towed. At high speed we could've all been killed. Seen multiple reports online of similar ball joint/ control arm failures. This needs to be addressed ASAP! Very dangerous.

I have the L87 6.2 liter V8 engine from General Motors. I had sudden engine failure. Apparently the rods and bearings are bad. It is the same problem as the recall issued for 2021-2024 vehicles, exept for my truck is a year 2020. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

When the truck was less than 2years and less than 20,000 miles old it developed a clunking noise in the rear suspension. Sounds like 2 heavy pieces of metal softly being knocked together. The dealership inspected it and replaced both rear shocks. The noise was still there. The dealership replaced the left leaf spring assembly. This temporarily eliminated the noise. The noise came back at just under 3 years and 30,000 miles. The dealership inspected, but couldn't find the…

When putting in gear it shows you put it in the gear wanted put doesn't register sometimes and perks you and clicks. The entire front end grinds, pops and clicks when turning forward or backwards. When doing the steering wheel will get stuck and want turn for a split second in turn causing steering To be misaligned causing you to basically steer the wheel in an unnatural…

I was driving the vehicle but it sounded like it was popping when I would turn and when I shifted gears. As a result, my brakes were not working and I almost hit another vehicle. I took it to the dealership where they claimed they fixed the issue. When I picked it up this past Saturday, within a block of the dealership, the truck began shaking and a rattling noise could be heard. I had to take the truck back to the dealership. The truck is at the dealership where it is…

Today while driving , the upper ball joint separated from the control arm, causing the truck to pull hard to the right. I was able to keep from wrecking the truck. While doing research it seems that this is a common occurrence with the Silverado Trail Boss and the Sierra AT4. I read a safety recall report on these vehicles, 21V-718, after reading this, it's exactly what happened with my truck. Ball joints is rusting and corroded. Vehicle is able to be inspected upon request.…
