My air bag light has been flickering on and off for quite some time now. I’ve taken it to a professional mechanic as well as Gerber and they have both fixed the issue by unplugging and replugging the harness underneath the passenger seat. I was told this issue with this type of Chrysler has been brought by the shop numerous times and I may have missed a recall repair on this vehicle. I have repeated this method numerous of times but at this point it is an inconvenience and…

Vehicle has 46,000 miles on odometer. A year ago the "Service Airbag System" light would intermittently illuminate. It is now staying lit all the time. I was speaking with an acquaintance as they had the same vehicle. Theirs caught on fire under the seat in the electrical connection box for the airbag. I took it to a few of our local mechanics and they say it is a substantial safety issue as they pulled the codes B0028-13 and B0020-13. Right side and left side seat…

Air bag light comes on. We have had it checked by 3 different technicians. They have found that it is an issue with the control module, and seat squibs need to be replaced. This is a $4000 issue that is directly related to the safety of the driver of the car. They said it looks to be a manufacturing issue but unfortunately is not covered by the extended warranty that we purchased.

The airbag Service light keeps coming on. There has been no accidents to this vehicle. There was a airbag safety recall on Chrysler 2016, but when I contacted Chrysler, they said my vehicle fell out of the date range that they assigned the recall to it was manufactured before a certain date reference number 90517639. Chrysler should be responsible to ensure that buyers are safe in their vehicles and they need to help get this issue corrected

B0028-13 is the code that appears when a scanner tool is used because the "service airbag system" warning message came on. Reading the other U-Tube post concerning this problem it seems to be common and a possible danger to the driver and the front passenger.

Wire connector under the passenger seat disables the airbag and turns on the SRS light with the code B0028-13 Right side Airbag circuit open. I have noticed that FCA is aware of the problem as the fix is to replace the wire Connectors under the seat. As an alignment mechanic I am in and out of a lot of vehicles and just about all of the 2015 to 2017 Chrysler 200s I have worked on have this code, some also have B0020-13 which is the left side seat air bag circuit open.
