Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger electric vehicles. A software error may cause the instrument panel display to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment," 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems for Light Vehicles," 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems," 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System," and/or 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Risk: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as gear selection and warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the instrument panel software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 39D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 30, 2026.

I purchased this 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona new on March 24, 2026. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began experiencing repeated serious safety-related electrical and propulsion failures. The most concerning incidents involve sudden loss of propulsion/power while driving. On one occasion, the vehicle lost propulsion while I was traveling on the freeway, leaving me in active traffic unable to accelerate normally and creating a serious risk of a collision. I also experienced…

The contact owns a 2025 Dodge Charger EV. While reversing, the vehicle lost motive power and failed to restart. Additionally, the instrument cluster indicated that the transmission was switching gears, but the vehicle had completely stopped. The failure caused the contact to sustain whiplash and a herniated disc, for which medical attention was received. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on four separate occasions. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and it…

The vehicle has experienced repeated failures of its electrical, high-voltage propulsion, charging, and starting systems. Beginning in November 2025, the vehicle intermittently failed to start, shut down while idling, displayed a “Service Charging System” message, and would not properly request energy when plugged in. During a subsequent repair visit, the customer reported an electrical-system message, failure to start, and that the vehicle would turn off by itself while…

As I pulled out of my driveway, my vehicle’s accelerator failed to respond to my input. The braking system worked flawlessly, with no delay in response. However, when I attempted to accelerate in either forward or reverse, the vehicle took approximately 3–5 seconds to respond to my input. This is a major safety issue.

On August 15, 2026, my 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T became inoperable while being used on a public roadway. The vehicle could no longer be operated normally, leaving me stranded and requiring Dodge/Mopar Roadside Assistance. The vehicle entered an abnormal electrical/operating state and would not return to normal operation. Because I could not safely continue driving, I requested roadside assistance. The vehicle had to be transported to an authorized Dodge dealership. The…

While driving on Route 130 in New Jersey on 7/6/26 at around noon I encountered a heavy rain storm. During this downpour I received warning messages about the emergency hood release being activated and that the car was entering limp mode with reduced propulsion. My car slowed to a crawl, luckily everyone was going slower thanks to the heavy rain and I was able to pull over to attempt to close the hood. It took around ten tries but I was finally able to get it to shut so I…

Warnings for transmission, electric kept cycling. 2. safety was it was a big parking lot with families walking in front/ around my car with baseball fields in front for…

We have leased this car since May of 2025. It has been in the Dodge repair shop over a dozen times for the electrical system warning light coming on. It had to be towed tot he dealer twice for it, other times it was drivable to get it there. This car is a complete Lemon and we are trying to get Dodge/Stellantis to pay us or preferably to buy it back and they are stalling. The car is a danger to drive as the forward collision does not warn you or apply the brakes ever as it…

While traveling at 75MPH on the highway, the vehicle shut down. No propulsion at all and the error message "Pull Over Safely - Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" was displayed. Was able to coast to a nearby exit and have the car taken to a dealer for service. Very unnerving at 75MPH and a significant safety hazard to me and other drivers.
