Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2019-2020 CR-V vehicles. The rear subframe bolts were improperly manufactured and may loosen, allowing the rear subframe to separate.
Risk: A separated rear subframe reduces vehicle handling and can suddenly disable the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear subframe bolts and retorque them or replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 27, 2020. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is R6M.

I own a 2019 Honda CR-V and have repeatedly experienced brake-system warning lights, starting problems, a hard brake pedal and unexpected braking/deceleration. I repeatedly reported these concerns to East Coast Honda, asked them to inspect the brakes, and showed photos/videos of warning lights, but many of my complaints were not documented on my repair orders. While driving, my vehicle unexpectedly braked/decelerated when there was no vehicle immediately in front of me,…

On Wednesday, [XXX], the sunroof glass of my 2019 Honda Cr-V Ex spontaneously exploded while driving on the highway. There was a startling loud sound that rendered me shocked while driving! It caused me to take my eyes off the road to look around my vehicle and in the rear-view mirror to see what had happened. Nothing hit the vehicle! Luckily, there were no other vehicles nor pedestrians nearby. I maintained staying in my lane, but I was completely distracted by the sound,…

The paint under the rear hatch at the top where the roof meets the rear is gone and rust is already coming thru. I have reached out to Honda Corporation of America as well as Hendrick Honda in Concord, NC where I purchased the vehicle, however both have refused to help me. I leased the vehicle new and purchased it last April as a certified pre owned. It has a 5 year rust warranty as well as 1 year added to the new car warranty when I purchased it.

The paint under the rear tailgate at the top is gone and surface rust has already started to come thru. Honda has had issues with several models of CRV’s with different model years resulting in recalls. This model is having the same issue. The owners manual does show a 5 year warranty no mileage for surface rust if it is a “ lack of craftsmanship “ but Honda is not wanting to stand behind this. I leased this vehicle new and bought it last year as a “certified pre owned “…

I've raised two tickets with ticket numbers 13709173 and 13719701to Honda customer care, the issue is a rust spot on the trunk, there has been no external damage on the trunk and the issues seems to have originated from under the panel. I have been receiving no support from the Honda customer care team and the dealership the dealership was interested in knowing that if I bought this vehicle from them which I did not because I bought this vehicle from Pennsylvania and I moved…

The summer of 2021 my back windshield broke spontaneously reasons unknown. I had the window replaced shortly after, but I have noticed an odd unaligned shift in my back end lift gate/hitch. My hitch loses a tad off and there is a bigger gap difference between the driver side and the passenger side. My vehicle has not been in an incident that would cause this issue.

Driver's side sun visor. This is a known issue to Honda. The original sun visor became rigid and very difficult to adjust. Honda replaced the original sun visor under warranty. The replacement has also become rigid and is very difficult to adjust. Now, the visor will not fold back into place and drops down, blocking my field of vision. I have the item available for inspection. Autonation Honda of Lewisville, Texas has confirmed this issue three times. Honda says this is a…

My 2019 Honda CR-V just had it's rear glass exploded all of a sudden. It was a 85F degree day and condition seemed normal and nothing out of the ordinary. The rear window left and right sides had a huge fault crack all along the edges. The middle of the windshield popped a hole and then upon lifting the trunk because I was unaware of the glass, the hole increased in size and chunks of glass just rained everywhere. Honda claims an object struck the glass, but that would mean…
