CV axle makes a very loud clicking noise when turning either right or left. Dealer says there is no recall and they want 190 dollars to diagnose the problem. I mentioned it six months ago to them right after I bought the car and they acknowledged the problem and told me they were waiting to hear from HONDA. The noise has gotten much worse and now they are telling me they want 190 dollars to diagnose the problem.

Thumping noise from front axle had repaired and it just came back a month later. It happens when you are at a slow speed and turning the wheel all the way like when you are parking mostly.

There is a loud clicking noise present when turning the vehicle and accelerating or decelerating at the same time. This noise started around 4000 miles and has gotten progressively worse.

1st Continuous clicking sound from the front axel when trying to turn, its amplifies when taking a uturn. I have complained to Honda service center they said they are not aware of while there is already fix done at different honda service centers. 2nd the Lanes assist doesn't work as a safety feature, it has multiple issues a) it ping pongs between the lanes with sudden moves, b) most of the times at the higher speeds it only warns or tries to correct once at least one of…

I am experiencing a severe defect involving a recurring clicking and popping noise from the front end of the vehicle when turning at low speeds. This issue is tied to a known premature failure of the front drive axles and constant velocity (CV) joints, which is currently the subject of federal class-action litigation ([XXX], et al. v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc.). The progressive failure of these critical drivetrain components presents an immediate safety risk. Degraded…

The affected components are the BOTH FRONT DRIVE AXLE/CV JOINT ASSEMBLIES on my 2024 Honda Prologue. This is not merely a suspected problem. After I reported the clicking/popping condition to Honda multiple times, the vehicle was finally inspected by a technician, who determined that BOTH FRONT AXLES WERE BROKEN AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. The original clicking/popping was not present when I obtained the vehicle. It developed afterward and progressively worsened, particularly…

The front-left CV joint/drive axle system malfunctioned. A loud repetitive clicking began during turns at approximately 1,050 miles. The vehicle and components are available for inspection. The condition creates safety concerns because the vehicle sometimes feels unstable while turning and the steering/drivability regularly feels abnormal. The tires have also developed uneven wear, raising concerns about reduced traction and handling.Separately, the vehicle has twice…

2024 Honda Prologue, 434 miles outside of warranty, CV joints failing and requires over $1,000 out of pocket. This is known defect from the manufacturer and it just showed up a few weeks ago. There are hundreds of Honda customers with the same issue. Honda has not issued a recall and refuses to qualify it under the limited warranty.

On 7/16/26, while driving, I heard loud clicking noises when turning and sometimes while driving straight. I took the vehicle to Coggin Deland Honda for inspection and they determined that both driveshafts are broken and need replacement. The service advisor shared that this is an ongoing problem with 2024 Honda Prologues that are not being covered by warranty. He also shared that there is a class action lawsuit regarding this issue, because they knew about this issue when…

Known design flaw of the CV joint failing under the weight of the vehicle causing a clicking sound when turning and eventually rendering the vehicle useless.

Both front axels have been making loud clicking noise and clunking vibration while turning since the vehicle roughly reached 2000 miles. The vehicle was taken into Honda Auto Center of Bellevue, and I was told that is was a known issue, Honda was no longer allowing warranty replacements of axels and that is was "just a noise the car will make".

My 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN [XXX]) only has 16K miles on this vehicle. Both front half-shaft CV joints are failing and have been failing for the last SEVERAL months by manifesting a persistent and worsening very loud clicking when loading and unloading the drive-train, driving up hill and executing any type of turn maneuver. I've complained numerous times to the Honda Dealership here in Seattle start 4Q 2025. They informed me that this has been an ongoing "known" problem…
