Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson, 2023 Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles. The electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly may contain damaged electrical components that can cause the pump controller to overheat.

Risk: An electric oil pump assembly that overheats increases the risk of a vehicle fire.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the electric oil pump controller, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed starting September 7, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 246.

I have had 4 appointments for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade to have the recall on the seat belt buckles addressed. Each time, I am told by the dealership that Hyundai hasn't sent the part yet. I was told that Hyundai is only sending 10-15 parts at a time. There are a lot of these vehicles on the road, and at this rate, my car is never going to be fixed. There is also an open warranty for the 3rd row ejection mitigation that there is no fix for yet. I was told not to use the third…

Two simultaenous problems happened: 1) loud clunking/thudding during low-speed turn. 2) Clunking/knocking/rattling noise from suspensions when going through uneven grounds. This both things happened before 20,000 miles. Had AWD coupling and rear differential unit replaced under warranty regarding problem 1). Had rear shocks replaced under warranty regarding problem 2). Found there has bben TSB issued related to 2), for older models, TSB 25-SS-004H but not for this year of…

Our Hyundai has a powertrain problem that is intermittent and random, and manifests itself in a couple of ways: 1) It drops out of gear while you are driving; there is no forward propulsion at all; the engine will rev when you press the gas, but no forward movement at all. You have to coast to a stop (or panic stop if the traffic allows), put it in reverse, drive backwards, then the transmission will “chunk” back into gear, then you can put it back in drive and continue…

The steering wheel clunks and locks when turning at low speeds or when ISG turns the car back on. At times, it is a hard enough jerk to pull it out of my hands. It was taken to the dealership multiple times. The coupler was replaced, but it still jerked the steering wheel. The dealership in Utah could not replicate the sound, even though it occurs multiple times a day at this point. Loss of the ability to steer after sitting at a light poses a huge safety issue between not…

2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE VIN [XXX] Vehicle rear shock absorbers failed. Steering and drivability adversely impacted. Many many many complaints online document these defective parts and Hyundai's failure to resolve problems and supply properly functioning parts. I am reporting a recurring, life-threatening electronic failure in my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On [XXX], while turning into an intersection, the vehicle's brakes spontaneously engaged, stalling the car in the path of oncoming traffic. During this event, multiple critical safety systems failed simultaneously, including the headlights and horn, leaving me unable to warn other drivers. A "violent" surge was required to clear the intersection, risking a high-speed collision.…

The vehicle was brought to the dealership at around 17,000 miles with concerns regarding a clunky sound and hesitation in acceleration. The issue is extremely noticeable while turning and accelerating. No warning lights, messages or audible chimes show up when the issue occurs. We purchased this car new around June 2023 from a local Hyundai dealer. The car has been regularly maintained (at the dealer) and only has 20,000 miles approximately. In April of this year, my wife was drive on a very busy highway and suddenly all of the warning lights came on the dashboard and the car shuddered to a very rapid stop.
