On September 24, 2026, Recall 68C was completed on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe by an authorized Jeep dealership. Following completion of the recall, the first attempt to charge the vehicle resulted in an electrical fire at the charging location. During the charging event, the charger and electrical outlet melted, and the wiring connected to the outlet began to burn. The fire appears to have originated at the charging equipment and outlet. No visible damage occurred to the vehicle…

While driving my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe at approximately 70 mph in Hybrid mode the vehicle suddenly and without warning experienced a complete loss of propulsion while I was traveling in traffic. The vehicle would no longer respond normally to the accelerator and I was unable to maintain speed. The Drive (D) indicator began flashing and multiple warning lights and messages appeared on the instrument cluster. I specifically remember the red battery/charging-system…

Driving in full electric mode after about 6 miles, while trying to accelerate to cross in front of traffic you have a major power loss. You will start to decelerate then the engine will kick in and start at full power load 6-7 thousand rpm The vehicle will lung and a large smell of over fueling comes in the vents. This happens with very drive, some are more dangerous.

After a recent recall (68C) the vehicle performance has greatly deteriorated. The ELEC mode propulsion has been limited, the internal combustion engine (ICE) engages much sooner than previous. Instead of a 'warm-up' cycle for the ICE, it feels as though there is actual clutch engagement, but with limited power. I feel this could have the potential to accelerate engine wear with a 'cold' engine with rapid engagement, as well as increased fuel/oil dilution (inherent with…

Post 68C recall, the vehicle performance in all electric mode is greatly diminished. At lower speeds, and electric motor exertion, the vehicle will rapidly and violently switch to combustion power going from 0-3500 rpm’s with no engine warming cycle. Additionally, at 50% battery charge and below, the vehicle can fail to accelerate at all, experiencing a near dead gas pedal, which can be seriously unsafe when attempting to merge or turn into traffic. Based on my experience,…
