Dear Kia Customer Care, I am writing to formally report a serious and recurring safety issue with my Kia vehicle. I have repeatedly experienced a "Power Limited" error while driving, often accompanied by a turtle icon and a "Check Electric Vehicle System" warning. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has suddenly lost power and stalled in the middle of the road. This is extremely dangerous and has put me and other drivers at risk. A vehicle should never lose propulsion…

I was driving my car on the highway, then I got the message çheck your electrical system'for around a minute. Then there was a rumble or bang as if I hit something with the back, but the road was clean. Then the car started slowing down and I drove to the side. I got out of the car and saw white smoke coming from under the car in the back. I started opening the hood and trunk in the back to find out, where the smoke came from. It was nothing to see. Because it was an…

My 2024 Kia EV6 is experiencing a total failure of the 12V charging system and requires manual jumpstarts to operate. The official ICCU safety recall (SC327) was previously performed, which is why the NHTSA database shows 0 unrepaired recalls for this VIN. However, the manufacturer's remedy has completely failed. Per NHTSA safety guidelines, this vehicle is currently subject to a sudden loss of motive power while driving and is unsafe to operate on public roads.

Car was totally dead even with a 68% charge. AAA came out to jump start. The next day while driving on the highway the car started to lose power. A red warning to check the electrical system came on along with "turtle mode". I was able to pull over off the highway, grateful the two small children were not with me. Car was towed to dealer who kept it for the three days. Only after repeated calling could I reach someone who said they couldn't reproduce the problem. I'm afraid…

We purchased a certified pre-owned 2024 Kia EV6 GT on 6/5/2026. On 6/6/2026 while driving on city streets, the display screen suddenly displayed a large and flashing red warning message "Stop vehicle and check power supply" in addition to the battery symbol. We took the vehicle to the dealership and they diagnosed that the ICCU had failed and needed to be replaced.

I had an ICCU failure on 4/12/26. I was fortunate enough to be close to home, so I was able to get back home before the vehicle dropped into reduced power mode. As has been reported many other places, I heard a loud pop and moments later a number or warning messages came up on the display. It was towed to the dealer the following day and has been confirmed to be an ICCU failure.

The vehicle’s ICCU unit stopped working out of the blue. This happened on a busy intersection and the car came to a sudden and violent halt. Luckily we were not involved in an accident. It’s a very well known issue with these vehicles and it’s really criminal that Kia has done nothing to fix it. They just change the ICCU unit and then it happens again.
