Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
Risk: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:INTERIOR/UNDER DASH
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Rogue vehicles. The electrical connector for the under dash harness may corrode due to water and salt intrusion from the driver's side foot well.
Risk: Corrosion in the electrical connector can result in power window/seat failure, all-wheel-drive warning light illumination, battery drainage, and electrical connector damage that increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will remove the harness tape and harness covering and replace both connectors and apply white lithium grease to the connectors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21B9.

I am reporting a severe safety hazard and failure of a critical safety remedy on my 2015 Nissan Rogue. Over a 23-day period, a Faulkner Nissan, a certified Nissan dealer mismanaged a severe water intrusion defect. On April 28, 2026 (102,965 miles), I was charged $1,228.67 out-of-pocket for recall-related burnt and shorted harness connectors (Recall 22V024000 / R21B9). On May 13, 2026 (104,656 miles), the vehicle returned with electronic and steering errors; the dealer…

I am writing to formally document my experience with the service performed at Nissan Heights following a recall repair on my vehicle. My vehicle was brought to Nissan Heights on Monday, March 2, for recall service related to NHTSA Recall #22V-024 (Nissan Recall #R21B9) involving the wiring harness. I dropped off the vehicle early that morning with the expectation that the recall work would be completed properly and that the vehicle would be returned in good working…

The vehicle is experiencing a serious door locking malfunction. Even after the car is locked, the doors repeatedly attempt to lock again every few seconds. During this time, the horn sounds and the lights flash continuously, as if the vehicle is trying to re-lock itself but failing. This behavior continues repeatedly. This issue raises serious safety concerns for the following reasons: •The vehicle may not be securely locking. •The repeated locking attempts may indicate a…

Once a year my car won't start, I get it towed to a dealership and they always say nothing is wrong but recommend getting a new battery even though the battery is not failing. So every year they try to get me to buy a new battery and warranty won't cover my battery because its not failing. I've had them run other test like parasitic draw and they say they find nothing. Every year I deal with this issue and have to deal with getting my car towed and usable for a couple days…

To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a vehicle safety complaint regarding a sudden and complete failure of the Body Control Module (BCM) in my 2015 Nissan Rogue. This failure has resulted in a complete "no-start" condition, rendering the vehicle inoperable without warning. The problem occurred on or about [Date of Breakdown, if known]. My car all of a sudden is having electrical issues. The radio is changing stations and volume all by itself. The steering wheel is getting hard to turn. The brake light fuse is burning out right away. I’ve replaced the fuse 3 times already in one week but it keeps burning out within 24hrs or less. My gages are going up and down fast motion. My battery all of a sudden is draining and it is brand new. I only have a little over 60,000. This is not normal at all and it is going…

Component/System Failed: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system — specifically the heater door actuator. Description of Problem: In November 2023, I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue from Nissan of Merrimack Valley. By January 2024, I began experiencing major heating issues. My independent mechanic confirmed that the heater door actuator had been glued to the HVAC box — a clear concealment of a defect instead of a proper repair. The defective component and…

The dealer sold me a car with tampered mileage (106056 miles). When I found out, he took away the title document and refused to return the money. He implied me to sign the sales slip or I would lose both the money and the car. After I signed, he was worried that I would report him, so he took away the REG262 document with his signature and false mileage. He also took advantage of the opportunity that I left the car in his shop to change the tampered mileage back to the…

The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It’s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it’ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let…

Our car has experienced multiple incidents of the interior becoming drenched with water. From thew sunroof, the sides of the vehicle, the floorboards, back AND front. We bring it in to be repaired but then another leak occurs. I am worried about water coming into contact with the many electrical parts of the car that help it operate especially since so much wetness occurs near the front half of the vehicle, near the controls. This last incident, we reached out to Nissan's…
