While operating the vehicle, the electronic shifter assembly failed completely, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the desired gear. The dealership diagnosed the issue as an internal electrical/mechanical failure of the shifter assembly and cited "sticky residue" near the center console as the cause, subsequently denying warranty coverage. This design places highly sensitive, non-sealed electrical shifter components directly adjacent to the center console cup holders.…

I have tried without success to have Nissan Consumer Affairs assist me with an ongoing issue with my vehicle that started in February of 2026. The check engine light coming on and sending various codes related to system too lean. It was repaired in March of 2026 only to come on again this past August of 2026. Dealership in Crystal Lake Illinois M'Lady claimed it was repaired only for the light to come on again. They still are not sure why it's happening. They've had master…

The Specific Defect: My vehicle has two active federal safety recalls: NHTSA Campaign 26V080 (internal engine bearing failure causing a severe knock) and NHTSA Campaign 26V081 (electronic throttle body malfunction). The Dealer Violations: Nissan McDonough officially diagnosed the engine as faulty but refused to execute the free engine replacement under the campaign. Nissan South Morrow attempted to charge me retail out-of-pocket prices for the recalled throttle body, they…

We had bought this vehicle from the dealership in March 2026, it had seemed like they were trying to get rid of it. Within under a month of purchase, it flashed a malfunction error and broke down. Sent to dealership, they had fixed the relay. Problem has since worsened. Car runs extremely rough and I get two malfunction errors. During long periods of driving with extensive starting and stopping, I notice issues such as a delay when shifting from park to drive. Im currently…

The entire dashboard goes blank. No radio, no camera's no telepone connection etc.. 2024 Nissan Rogue SL. After driving a few miles the dashboard info center turns back on. This has happened at least 3 times. I was curious because 655K Camrys are being recalled for the same problem. Most likely the same software is used in both automobiles.

The vehicle suddenly lost motive power due to an engine/throttle control failure consistent with defects described in NHTSA Campaigns 26V081 and R25A8/R25A9/R25B1. It entered limp mode and became unable to accelerate. The vehicle is available for inspection. This created a safety risk because the vehicle was stranded in extreme heat for several hours with no access to water or shelter. I became overheated and physically distressed while waiting for assistance. Nissan would…

The vehicle became inoperable at high speeds on the interstate, I-65. My husband was able to safely merge to the right shoulder to avoid any crashes. The car made some loud clunking sounds before all power was lost. The car was then towed to the nearest Nissan dealership. It took 3 business days for the dealer to look at the car. The entire engine needed to be replaced. The dealership was able to replace the engine and complete quality assessment/drive and this was completed…
