Power steering has an intermittent failure and have lost power steering multiple times on the highway. Warning lights come on a indicate steering issue. Have noticed this has been reported as an eps issue with the ram 1500's. This has been reproduced by an independent service center and they thought it might be a loose connection with water getting in. They tried to fix this but still getting the issue even when there is no rain. This just started once I passed the 36,000…

Driving 70 mph on a 3 lane hwy. All the sudden it loses power, engine dies. Have barely any brakes or steering. No turn signals I don’t believe or brake lights. Have to swerve through traffic that doesn’t know what I’m doing to get to the side, if there is one. Dash light says “truck not in park”. This is the second time, it could have and almost killed me or someone else both times

While driving, the front passenger side ball joint failed catastrophically. The wheel completely separated from the control arm and folded under the truck, causing the vehicle to drop hard onto the suspension and nearly lose control. I was extremely fortunate not to be involved in a crash or killed. Photos taken immediately after the failure show the wheel collapsed under the truck and the damaged suspension components (upper/lower control arm and ball joint area). This is a…

The power steering rack/steering gear malfunctioned on my 2022 Ram 1500 at approximately 25,000 miles. Repair estimate is about $4,000. This appears to be a premature steering-system failure and creates a safety concern because steering assist failure can affect vehicle control.

The power steering failed abruptly. The problem is in the electronic power steering rack. The warning light appeared simultaneous with the failure. Fortunately, the failure occurred in a parking lot rather than on the road. The truck is very difficult to steer without power steering.
