The vehicle has already had the generator replaced due to failure and shutting off while driving down the road and the speed limit. The truck was in the shop for almost 6 moths, then the front drive shaft broke while driving in 2-wheel drive. Now while my wife was driving going 40 mph on HWY 96 the car shut off and put itself in park in the middle of the highway. We were lucky no one hit us and after a few minutes it restarted and we were able to get it off the road and have…

I own a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 (5.7L HEMI eTorque, ZF 8-speed automatic), VIN [XXX], approximately 40,000 miles. For roughly two years, the transmission has produced a hard, jarring downshift and lurch during normal low-speed deceleration, consistently when slowing from ~20 mph to a stop. This occurs both when the engine is cold and fully warmed up, ruling out a cold-start explanation. It happens under normal city driving, not towing or aggressive driving. The jolt is…

The engine intermittently stalls when I press the accelerator. When this happens, the vehicle loses power, the AutoPark/electronic parking brake engages, and the battery warning light appears. This has happened more than once and creates a serious risk of a collision or being stranded if it occurs in traffic. The vehicle is a 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel with the 5.7L eTorque system. The manufacturer’s records show customer satisfaction campaign Z49 as completed, but the stalling…

Purchased my used RAM October 2024. On 5 occasions the engine stalled while driving. Lost all power and rolled to a stop when the parking brake engaged. Most recent incident was May 17, 2026. I went to my dealer with this complaint May 14th, there were no codes and I was told truck was operating as designed. I am unable to duplicate the event - but it happens when I slow down and then speed up - Stop sign, parking lot etc. Potentially I could have run over someone or crashed…

On 3/28/2026 my vehicle decided to engage the emergency brake, shift into park and turn engine off at the intersection with oncoming traffic approaching causing several vehicles to dangerously navigate around my vehicle to avoid an accident

Turning left from a stop sign, engine turned off in the middle of the intersection and parking brake was automatically applied. max speed achieved approximately 5mph. Red Battery dash light was illuminated. Dash instructions were to press brake pedal and push park brake release button. after completing I was able to shift to park and restart the vehicle. Red battery dash light remained. After moving vehicle to a safe location I turning off the vehicle, waited ~20 seconds,…

Im driving vehicle and randomly the vehicle will shut off when making turns. It is random every so many months. But it has done in major intersections. It will immediately start back up so that’s good. But there are no engine lights. And dealership Does not seam like they can do a whole lot with engine no lights on. But it seems common when doing research online The vehicle is a 2022 Ram 1500 with 55,000 miles

While driving on the 60 East highway (approximately 65-68 mph), the vehicle did not accelarate and became completely non-responsive. Each time I pressed on the gas pedal, the RPM needle started trembling between 600-1100, which is much lower than where it should be while the vehicle was in Drive and traveling at this speed. This was an extremely dangerous situation as I had my wife and 5 month old daughter in the vehicle, and other vehicles were traveling significantly…

UNKNOWN exact component, but it is a critical failure within the electrical/charging system or the 48V eTorque system. The dealership previously suspected the eTorque system and replaced the belt tensioner, but the failure continues. The vehicle is currently available for inspection and has been sitting at an authorized Ram dealership for the last three weeks. The vehicle suffers a complete and sudden loss of motive power while driving. When it stalls, the truck…

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. While stopped at a red light, the contact attempted to make a left turn, and the vehicle suddenly stalled and came to a complete stop. The contact stated that the parking brake automatically engaged, and the transmission shifted into park(P). During the failure, the "Service Auto STOP/START System" warning light illuminated and remained illuminated until the vehicle was restarted. The dealer was notified, and a service appointment was…

symptoms: 1. P0A7D hybrid battery failure. 2. Heat from the eTorque motor after 1min run time. 3. Unstable voltage. 4. 12‑volt drain (replaced battery last year June 2025) 5. Risk of sudden loss of assist. 6. Auto‑park behavior. 7. Unpredictable drivability. I don't feel this is safe when I stop at a stop sign the truck applied auto-park and I could not move, had to press the auto-stop to get it out of the park brake and back in drive. So, I was only two blocks from home so…

My 2022 Ram 1500 is experiencing a "lurching" or "bumping" forward and backwards when moving from park to drive or reverse. The issue is most apparent after coming to a stop and releasing the brake to accelerate. You can feel a "Bump" sensation as the drivetain re-engages. Have taken to dealer and been told this is "normal operation" but I refuse to accept it. Have been researching this a lot lately and have found many instances of other trucks experiencing the same issue…
