Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Model 3, Model S, 2023-2025 Model X, and Model Y vehicles. The computer circuit board may short, resulting in the loss of the rearview camera image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Tesla released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Tesla will also identify any vehicles that experienced a circuit board failure, or stress that may lead to a circuit board failure, and replace the affected computers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2025. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla's number for this recall is SB-25-00-001.

When you disengage full self driving supervised, a nag screen asking you why you turned off Full Self Driving, blocks controls on your screen, and cannot be turned off without the driver being forced to respond. This is dangerous while parking and in other scenarios. Especially since the only way to get rid of it is by being a distracted driver, as you cannot use all controls without first answering the question as to why you decided to take over for the automated driving.…

    1. i was using tesla self driving standard on my vehicle it accelerated up to 19 miles over the recorded speed limit. 2. The speed limit was 55 and it went to 74 way to high and no way to lower it manually 3. Confirmation by the MD State Police radar 4. No inspection 5. There was no warnings. Consumers should be able to set the maximum speed desired or lower it if it goes to high manually, but you can't if you are using self driving options. You can go to chill which is the…

I subscribe to tesla FSD and there's a pop up window every time I disengaged from FSD. There's no way to systematically stop it from popping up. It is a serious distraction from driving, as it blocks part of the map and causes me thinking there's something wrong with the car. I want a way to stop it from popping up.

The Full Self-Driving (FSD) system on my 2024 Tesla Model Y repeatedly causes the vehicle to weave or oscillate from side to side within its lane, particularly at highway speeds. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The most serious incidents have occurred at highway speeds while traveling in the left lane next to a concrete median. The vehicle has weaved so severely that it has nearly caused me to hit the concrete median. I attempted to steady the steering…

My 2024 Tesla Model Y (VIN [XXX]) has lost all forward camera-based safety and driver assistance functions. The vehicle displays alerts that Automatic Emergency Braking is unavailable, Park Assist is unavailable, adaptive headlight features are unavailable, and that self-driving is degrading and the vehicle may stop. Autopilot and Full Self-Driving will not engage. The side repeater cameras and the rearview camera still display images normally on the touchscreen, so the…

SEVERE DEFECT: Unprompted autonomous steering overrides manual driving. When Autopilot is OFF, Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance (ELDA) violently yanks the steering wheel, steering TOWARD hazards like oncoming traffic on the left or a mountain/rock wall past the curb on the right. This creates a severe collision risk, overriding safe manual input.DOCUMENTED PROOF: Provided Tesla Service (Palo Alto) over 12 timestamps and several dashcam footage. Technicians physically…

I was using the Tesla FSD in stop and go traffic. At the moment I was moving with traffic at about 30 mph and then traffic started slowing down. The vehicle in front of me came to a complete stop. The FSD on my car started slowing down, but not fast enough. It rear-ended the vehicle at about 18 mph.

On August 25, 2025, I was in a crowded Trader Joe's parking lot using the vehicle's FSD parking feature. The vehicle was moving backward into a parking position. A stationary vehicle was in the area. Instead of detecting the other vehicle and stopping, the Tesla kept backing up and made contact with the stationary vehicle. The other vehicle was not moving, and there was enough room for the Tesla to park without contact. I do not remember the exact positioning or direction…

On June 7, 2026, I was driving westbound on I-290 in the leftmost lane in a 2024 Tesla Model Y. I recall FSD (Supervised) was engaged and making a lane change into the left lane. I did not receive a takeover warning before the event. The front bumper came off and the vehicle became inoperable. A…
