My 2007 Toyota Camry was manufactured with faulty piston rings that Toyota acknowledges that causes the engine to burn oil. I need to put 1/4 of quart of oil per week to avoid the engine from burning and up risking it from catching on fire. Toyota offered to fix this issue from 2008-2010, but I was not notified nor was I aware of this issue. It wasn't until 2020 when my car got about 70k miles that I started to notice the oil burning. It now has 92k miles and the issue has…

Was told its a leak but I never see oil on the ground where I park. Its been like this since I've purchased the vehicle. The headlights are not bright no matter if i change the bulb or the actual headlight

I purchased my 2007 Toyota Camry brand new. Since early ownership, the vehicle has suffered from excessive engine oil consumption. Toyota acknowledged this issue and performed major engine repairs at a Toyota dealership, including replacing pistons and piston rings under their oil consumption program, but the defect continued. The vehicle continues to consume approximately 1.5 quarts of oil every 1–2 months. This defect affects engine reliability and long-term safety.…

Engine—was told by dealership that we needed a new motor because of lack of oil in engine - had not seen oil drips or any smoking out of muffler. No lights on dashboard. Only been serviced by dealership. Told us; we needed to keep check and add oil as needed until we decided on a new motor or trade. Either is not a good option because of expense. We are probably going to bite the bullet and have to trade with not being able to get much out of trade because of this. The car…

Excessive engine oil consumption. Penske Toyota of Downey would Not fix my car when I took it in. I received a letter from Corporate Toyota. I also received a letter on the sticky dash board. They replaced the dash board but, they would Not fixed my engine problem. I took their word for it and now I have to check my oil often and keep oil in my trunk. I never get an oil warning light. I just have to make sure by checking it often. Penske refused to fix my car, they told me…

The problem that I have is the same as the one I years ago. There was a recall on 2007 Toyota Camrys for oil consumption. At the time I waws never getting the maintenance indicator because the engine would run low on oil before I needed an oil change. I am having the same problem again. The car is not leaking oil. It's consuming oil. I now must drive around with extra oil in the trunk in case the oil is low. I have been a Toyota owner since 1986. I have always thought of…

Vehicles dash board is melting. Produces a high shine effect that reflects sunlight into the front glass, effectively blinding the driver. Toyota has acknowledged this in a “warranty enhancement program” but will no longer repair the dashboard as the recall has “expired”. The warranty program had expired prior to me taking ownership of the vehicle. Engine burns oil due to piston assembly manufacturing errors. Toyota has acknowledged this in T-SB-0158-14 but will no longer…

My car burns oil excessively causing an increased risk for the engine to overheat and stall. This defect increases the risk of a crash and could lead to a fire. With research and by contacting a local Toyota dealership, I learned that this is a known defect of the 2AZFE engine. Specifically, the piston rings and the pistons are defective and known to cause excessive motor oil burning. Although Toyota has offered an extended warranty for this issue, I was informed by the…
