My 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe diesel unexpectedly lost power while driving. I was stopped, made a right turn, and accelerated to approximately 34–40 mph on a two-way street when the vehicle suddenly shook, shifted into neutral, and the engine shut off without warning. There were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. I was driving with two young children secured in car seats at the time. The fuel filler neck for the diesel has a plastic neck extension made of cheap plastic and it broke making it a hazard to even fill the vehicle up and diesel fuel is spilled, not secured, and fumes could cause a fire hazard because the piece is faulty. GM customer service ignores me and transfers me over and over until they hang up and never actually talk to me about this

On 6/26/2025, I was on an elevated one lane exit ramp of a major freeway. My 2022 Tahoe suddenly lost complete power with no warning at all. The car behind me slammed on his brakes and narrowly missed me as I could do nothing except get as close to the concrete barrier as possible.
