I was picking my Tahoe up after a replacement on the blown motor was complete. (L87) I started it and immediately knew something was wrong. I reported it to the service advisor and the response was there were no warning lights so it must be fine. I asked them to sit in my car and they agreed it was not running right. They took it back and replaced a sparkplug that was causing the #2 cylinder to misfire. Almost 3 months later I was driving on the freeway when my Tahoe felt…

While traveling on I-684 at highway speed, my 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe with 43,000 miles suddenly shut off without warning and automatically shifted into neutral. I had a complete loss of propulsion. As a car guy who has been following the GM 6.2L engine recall issue, I suspected it could be that. I was traveling in the left lane and had to carefully coast across active lanes of traffic to reach the shoulder. My wife and two young children were in the vehicle, and the sudden…

I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe equipped with the GM 6.2-liter V8 engine. VIN: [XXX]. I have now driven fewer than 10,000 miles on the replacement engine and am experiencing a very similar engine-related problem again. The vehicle is currently back at the Chevrolet dealership being inspected and…

We were driving on the highway and the engine started making a ticking noise and AFM light came on. Took the car to the dealership for inspection and they said the lifter had collapsed and it would cost $1000 to tear the engine down to see if the camshaft was damaged. Asked for the estimate to replace camshaft and lifters and they quoted $10,000.

Our Tahoe was included in the recall. The dealership inspected it, found no issue at the time, and told us to switch to a different oil viscosity, which we did. This vehicle has only ever been serviced at a Chevrolet dealership. On August 20th, while driving on the highway, the engine shut off without warning and we had to coast to the shoulder. We attempted to restart it several times, but the engine would not hold an idle. After shutting off all accessories, including the…

We took it to two different certified Chevy dealerships and they gave us a vague resolution and this issusr is not fixed at all. Our engine is locking up on us at full speed on the highway. This vehicle has 83,000 miles on it and we’ve maintained this vehicle very well.

We were driving full speed down the highway and the vehicle completely shut down steering wheel locked and we were stranded for six hours. Turns out the dealer said it was just the battery and they fixed the grounding of the battery. I’m sorry but I’m not satisfied with this response. I’m scared to drive this vehicle.
