Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Mustang Mach E vehicles. The rear differential pinion shaft may fracture.
Risk: Differential pinion shaft fracture may result in a loss of drive power, or unintended vehicle movement if the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will repair or replace the rear differential assembly as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 13, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late December 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S50.

I own a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD. My vehicle has experienced a high-voltage powertrain malfunction involving the high-voltage battery system/HV Battery Junction Box (HVBJB). The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealership for diagnosis and repair. What concerns me is that the same high-voltage/powertrain warning appeared on my vehicle previously, before the vehicle reached 100,000 miles. The warning appeared in my FordPass history, then went away. The…

While accelerating on a highway on-ramp, the vehicle displayed Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power, a High-Voltage Battery Warning. Power was reduced while merging into traffic. The same warnings appeared at about 90,000 miles and cleared on their own. This is a Standard Range RWD Mach-E, which was excluded from the high-voltage battery junction box recall. The vehicle was towed to AutoNation Ford Katy and diagnosed with HVBJB failure. Loss of propulsion at highway speeds…

My 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E suffered a total loss of motive power on the road, throwing code P0D10:00:AF for a stuck-open high-voltage contactor. This is the exact failure mode of Safety Recall 23S56. Ford is refusing to cover the repair because my VIN was omitted from the database and the vehicle is at 108,017 miles, treating a hazardous powertrain defect as an out-of-warranty consumer expense. I have an active case number with Ford.

While driving my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, the front electric drive unit failed suddenly with no warning signs, warning lights, unusual noises, or any prior indication of a problem. During the failure, multiple fault messages appeared on the instrument cluster, including warnings that disabled adaptive cruise control and indicated the all-wheel-drive system was no longer functioning. The vehicle began to vibrate severely, feeling as though it was driving over rumble strips.…

Vehicle experienced immediate loss of motive power while in motion at 45 mph after "Stop Safely Now" alert. This is a repeat power failure. The vehicle was in service for 75+ days (Dec-Feb) for this exact defect. The Ford service center said they replaced the “battery controller” yet the issue recurred. The car previously flagged this alert while in motion 2 times prior (one on the highway going ~65mph and on another major street going roughly ~45 mph). As a Ford Reacquired…

On Saturday, [XXX], while driving under normal conditions, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion without warning. There was no reduced-power mode, no dashboard alert, and no mobile app notification prior to shutdown. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by a Ford dealership. The technician identified an intermittent software-related condition consistent with Ford TSB 26-2005, which documents a fault capable of draining the 12-volt electrical…

I am requesting immediate escalation regarding my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E (VIN: [XXX] ), which is currently undrivable due to being stuck in “Power Accessory Active” mode. The vehicle will not enter Drive. The dealer has diagnosed DCEM / high-voltage system-related faults and stated that recall repairs cannot be completed unless I first pay approximately $3,000 to repair the “main battery.” My concern is that the symptoms and failure mode exactly match the known…
