This complaint is in regards to Safety Recall 272 Component Failure and Vehicle Disabling / SOS System Failure On [XXX], at approximately [XXX] PM, I was driving my Genesis vehicle during rush hour when I heard a loud popping sound. Immediately following the sound, the dashboard displayed a critical warning light stating: "Electrical Charging System Fault — Check Electrical System." Because I was actively driving in heavy rush-hour traffic, this sudden loss of charging…

Related Recall: 24-01-023G DTC P1A9096 CHECK FOR ICCU & FUSE REPLACEMENT & ICCU SOFTWARE UPDATE (RECALL 021G) On August 8, 2025 I was vacationing and attempted to charge the vehicle at a hotel's level 2 destination charger (32 amp) but the vehicle refused to charge. I then drove 20 minutes away to DC Fast Charge and it worked, and tried level 2 charging again, it still did not work. I ruled out that the level 2 charging station was the problem due to seeing someone else…

Car stopped taking a charge. ICCU and fuse seem to have died. This widespread problem needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. It's dangerous and careless to not have fixed the issue years later.

Complete ICCU failure resulting in loss of power on the freeway during rush hour, extremely dangerous for me and everyone around me. Car was towed twice over three years for the same issue, despite having all recalls done. Eventually lemon law eligible, did a buyback.

In 2023 & 2025, my vehicle had been brought into the Genesis dealership to complete NHTSA 24V868000 safety recall by receiving a new software (Service Campaigns 907G & 025G). However, despite that, on [XXX], the vehicle's ICCU failed while I was traveling at highway speeds. The ICCU is the primary component that the safety recall was supposed to address, yet it failed anyways. The car suddenly and dangerously reduced propulsion on the freeway, and I had to slowly maneuver…

Water pump failure in vehicle less than two years of age. Dealer stated car was not safe to drive. Instrument cluster had a warning light, the app had details of the failures, and the display in the vehicle had a pop up stating the car needed to be serviced TODAY!

I leased a 2023 Genesis GV60, which was misrepresented as new but had multiple safety recalls, including ICCU battery failure, AWD/powertrain malfunction, and seatbelt defects. From the start, the seatbelts didn’t secure properly, and the car failed NY state inspection, causing me to lose a job that required a safe vehicle. Despite six visits to different service centers in 3 months, no actual repairs were completed. Mechanics admitted they didn’t understand the battery…

The vehicle's instrument panel, behind steering wheel displaying things like speed and warning signs, periodically goes blank at start up for between 30 seconds and 15 minutes. There are lots of reports of this problem on sites like Redit and Genesis Forum, however, Genesis has not issued a recall for even a service bulletin. This apparently common problem is a safety hazard as the driver does not have access to critical safety information, including the vehicle's speed, for…

On 3/5/2025 I was driving my car and accelerating to 45 miles per hour when the Stop vehicle and check power supply warning on my car showed on the dash followed by a loud and starting audible tone. I pulled over to check the car and it still worked well. I then went home and tried to charge the vehicle off of our level 2 charger and the vehicle would not start to charge. I brought the car to the dealer the next day after charging the 12 volt battery overnight. I charged the…

This car is fully electric. Upon start up in cold weather and for up to about 5 miles thereafter, the instrument panel remains black. This eliminates any displayed driving information including warnings, speedometer, driving mode and other items such as brake regeneration, etc. The distance traveled before the panel eventually energizes appears to be increasing. All other vehicle functions continue to operate. A saving grace for my car is that it displays the speed in the…

Completed NHTSA recall 24V-868 at my dealer December 13th 2024. ICCU failed on 1/1/2025 and I am awaiting on the 3rd ICCU for my vehicle in less than 2 years. Similar issue happened December 2023, completed the ICCU recall and had the ICCU fail in a similar fashion.

When starting the car on cold mornings--parked outside, under a carport--the instrument cluster is blank. It stays blank for two to seven or so minutes, whether or not the car is being driven. This only happens on the cold days, and didn't happen last winter. When the display comes on, it doesn't register the miles that were driven while it was blank. Using the pre-warm climate function before staring the vehicle--so, warming up the car--will cause the instrument cluster to…
