While the vehicle was being driven, the sunroof became inoperable, stuck in the tilt position. The motor could be heard running but the glass panel would not move in either direction. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before the failure. The dealership disassembled the sunroof and found that a spring on the passenger-side sunroof rail had broken, and that the broken spring damaged the rail itself. The dealer confirmed the failure matches Hyundai TSB…

Pressed button to open glass sunroof and glass panel crookedly began opening with one side opening farther than the other until it stopped midway with a loud grinding noise. It stopped crooked in the tracks. It would not open. It would not completely close and the rear was left protruding above the roof line. There was nothing holding the back of the glass panel to the tracks. I could lift the back freely. A strong gust of wind or a passing truck could lift the panel. If the…

Large crack formed without any projectile involved. Car was sitting in the garage and temperature was around 40 degrees. Crack starts from the bottom of the windshield near the driver's side and extends upward about 12 inches. The car had been sitting in the garage for 4 days without being driven. Vehicle only has 21,455 miles but is out of warranty due to age.

The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware of parts falling from the sunroof tract onto the front passenger’s seat. The contact held on to the remaining parts of the sunroof tract to prevent the sunroof from detaching. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. In January 2025, during snowy weather, the windshield wipers on my 2021 Hyundai Palisade failed mid-operation and began making a buzzing noise. After 3–4 uses, they locked up and stopped functioning, causing a serious visibility issue. This occurred while driving, putting my safety at risk. This symptom directly matches NHTSA Recall 23V-180 / Hyundai Campaign 243, which I was told had already been addressed by the dealership I purchased from (Fitzgerald Hyundai in…

Front passenger and both captain chairs seatbelts will unlatch on their own. Windshield wipers when on automatic setting will turn on with no precipitation on windshield. Generally when the steering is turned slightly left. Both issues have happened multiple times over the past 4 years of ownership.

While driving down the interstate heard a loud sound, sounding like a shot gun. Looked and the sunroof shattered. Immediately took it into the dealership and they determined it was not hit by anything and they have been seeing a rise of this happening. They are fixing under warranty and had to give me rental car because they don’t know how long it will take. It was extremely scary and thankfully my sunroof cover was closed. I can easily see this causing a car accident.

This is Colorado Spring time the weather can do anything here this time of year the car is not safe to drive but the dealer told my wife they will not give her a loaner car so she is being forest to drive a unsafe car.

Windshield cracks under normal highway driving condition. Smaller rocks coming onto windshield are expected under highway driving conditions. Of all the 9 vehicles that I have owned previously none had this issue but with Hyundai Palisade the glass cracked very easily. I have small cracks on my windshield at multiple places and it appears that Hyundai has installed a thin windshield or a windshield not suited for highways in USA. Could NHTSA please investigate this?
