Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 Pickup vehicles equipped with six-speed automatic (68RFE) transmissions. A build up of pressure and heat inside the transmission may result in a transmission fluid leak from the dipstick tube.
Risk: The leaking transmission fluid may contact the turbocharger or another ignition source within the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission valve body separator plate and reprogram the powertrain control module. The recall began March 2, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W03.

While attempting to pass traffic the truck did not want to shift above or down from 4th gear. This has happened twice now and both times I had to pull over and restart the truck. My safety was put at risk due to lack of propulsion, high rpm of the truck to maintain speed before pulling over. Check engine light came on both times. Although there appears to be a lack of NHTSA reports, I have been sharing this story with others and looking at Facebook groups and it seems the…

The transmission failed. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had an undiagnosed fluid leak believed to be coming from transmission-related hoses/lines. These hoses were replaced; however, the issue persisted and ultimately resulted in transmission failure. The failure occurred while the vehicle was in operation, which caused a sudden loss of power/drive capability. This created a hazardous situation, especially in traffic, as the vehicle was unable to accelerate or maintain…

Following completion of the Y78 (high-pressure fuel pump) and XQ1 (emissions) recall repairs in April 2024, our 2019 Ram 2500 immediately began experiencing misfires, fuel system issues, and ongoing performance problems. These symptoms have persisted for over a year and have never been resolved despite repeated service visits and escalations. The vehicle suffered multiple HPFP failures, including one that caused fuel to leak into the crankcase, resulting in approximately 19…

The sway bar keeps disconnecting or becomes unoperatable during extreme cold days. It's like it becomes frozen. You have to wait until the temperature warms up and it will go away. How is one supposed to use this on the Power Wagon in places where we get cold weather, and need to travel off road and utilize the sway bar disconnect normally if it keeps not being available to disconnect in cold weather. It has been in dealership several times for this and repaired twice by…
