We purchased this 2014 Ford F-150 SuperCrew (3.5L EcoBoost) used on Dec 31, 2022. Just two days after taking it home, the vehicle began experiencing sudden, violent, uncommanded downshifts from 6th to 1st gear at highway speeds. This occurred throughout our ownership. Because this was our family's only form of transportation, we had no choice but to continue driving it under these terrifying conditions, repeatedly navigating a lethal safety hazard with our three children in…

I was driving on the highway at about 60-70 mph and my truck shifted into first gear with my tires basically locking up and slid along the highway. I brought my truck into a ford dealership and they told me they couldn’t get it to replicate the incident so they turned me away. I personally replaced my battery terminals and it hasn’t done it again. Now I will be driving and randomly my truck will rev bomb and my gauge cluster will shut off and it shows up with an orange…

While driving, transmission will randomly shift gears from a higher gear all the way down to first gear regardless of travel speed. When traveling at highway speeds, this results in a loss of traction on the rear wheels, causing fishtailing and a momentary loss of control. This problem is getting worse, and is the result of a known defect in the transmission speed sensor that has been acknowledged by Ford in previous recalls. The previous recall repair attempt by Ford…

My 2014 Ford F150 truck went into “limp mode” last week. A wrench showed up on my dashboard, my speedometer didn’t function, and it sounded like the transmission was “winding up” if I tried to accelerate. After hitting “ok” to remove the wrench and restarting the truck a couple of times, my check engine light illuminated. I was driving at about 40 MPH when this occurred and it was a scary moment. Luckily I was able to keep my truck under control and drove very slowly back…

Two separate times, driving at highway speed, the truck shifted into first gear and I had to pull over. A wrench symbol also popped up where the speed is usually displayed.

I need to open a safety case. My 2014 Ford F-150 had recall 24S37 performed. Immediately after the recall, the steering locked, the truck stopped itself while still in Drive, and a blue oil pressure warning light appeared. The vehicle is unsafe and cannot be driven out of my driveway. The dealership is refusing responsibility and wants to charge diagnostics. I need this inspected and towed under recall responsibility.”

Coil packs need constant changing in this vehicle. I’ve owned it almost 8 years and sometimes I would have to change the coil packs more than 1 time a year. Obviously I would change the spark plugs also. But there is always a misfire. A lot with 3 and 5.

When driving the vehicle will drop down into a lower gear such as first gear causing the tires to lock up while going into the lower gear, throwing your body in the truck forward causing whiplash and sending my vehicle into other lanes or oncoming traffic. There's a loyd bang when it happens and the engine vibrates so bad when you accelerate it feels like the engine is gonna fall out. They said there's no recall for my vehicle by Vin number but if you put the model in the…
