Lifters and camshaft failure, loud clanking, & sudden power loss on the 6.2 motor are the first noticeable signs. Instantly when everything happened check engine light, cruise control, & stabilizer lights flashed. The sudden loss of power forced the vehicle to suddenly slow down forcing my camper into the truck. I was hauling a within weight standerd camper but had difficulty bringing both the truck with the camper to a safe stop. There were no early signs or signal prior to…

Was traveling home and started losing power going up a hill on XXX. The truck was surging, the check engine light came on and an audible warning of no (low?) oil pressure. The truck shut off on a busy interstate highway and barely got onto the shoulder. The tow truck driver had to lay on the ground with part of his body in the lane of travel to place "skids" under the rear tires because there is no way to place this vehicle in neutral for a tow without a special GM tool.…

I was driving on the highway when the vehicle started to make clinking noises. The vehicle started to lose power as I accelerated it would feel like something was pulling me in the opposite direction and the knocking noise would get louder. Ultimately, I had the vehicle towed to a dealership. This vehicle passed the L87 recall not too long ago, and the vehicle is barely used.

I passed the recall inspection on 12/17/2025 and the higher viscosity oil was put into my vehicle. On 12/25/2025 my vehicle's engine shut off while I was traveling on the highway (I-25). The vehicle went into to neutral and I had to pull over to the side of the highway without power. The vehicle started again and as I was merging onto the highway it shut down again. My truck completely stalled and had to be restarted. I took it to the dealership to have it resolved. They wouldn’t look at the truck without a recall notice. Now there is a recall notice for my exact issue. I took it to be repaired by them but now they are saying that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and are refusing to do anything about it stalling. They specifically said that I will have to stall and potentially get in a car wreck before they will repair the…

While driving my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate on the highway, the engine suddenly failed without warning. The truck shut off completely while I was traveling at highway speed. I was fortunate to be able to safely maneuver to the shoulder, but the sudden loss of power created a serious risk of a collision with surrounding traffic. The failure appears to involve the engine or engine control system. The vehicle engine is currently available for inspection upon request. Prior…
