My 2017 Honda Civic just had a known BCM issue and many with the same models year from 2016-2018 experience the same failures. Honda should have a recall because it's where the car unknowingly drains the battery and the engine sits in idle/accessory mode that is damaging to other parts that the customer have to expense for.

About one month ago, I noticed that the paint on my rear quarter panel (to the right of my rear window) was peeling. It continues to peel. My insurance will not cover the paint failure, as the adjuster stated that they "will not touch my car because there are several class action lawsuits again Honda for the paint on this specific model and color of white" '. I have contacted Honda and they stated that after looking up my VIN, there are no lawsuits or recalls associated with…

The paint on the rear trunk area has failed and it is chipping off in large amounts. The missing paint exposes the area to corrosion and reduces structural integrity of the components. American Honda was informed about the paint defect and the car was inspected by Hendrick Honda on 5/27/26 as requested by American Honda.

My white 2017 Honda Civic was brand new when I bought it and has always been garage kept. At the beginning of April, when washing my car, I noticed the paint was peeling around the top of my back windshield. A couple of weeks later, while washing my car, the paint peeled off in several larger areas along the back drivers side window. When I called the dealership that I purchased my car from I was told Honda had extended the warranty 7 years but unfortunately that extension…

The paint is peeling from my Honda civic hatchback EXL. The color is sonic gray. The paint started to peel off slowly and hasn’t stopped. The side view mirror covers is where I noticed the peeling first. Then under the hood and door handles. Upon further inspection I noticed that rust had developed in the door jambs of the liftgate as well. Other areas that look like will start peeling are the fenders and hood. Dealer has inspected car but won’t address issue because this…

My paint has been coming off for a while now and now I have serious rust issues. I have gone in for inspection at the local Honda dealership and they recommended for me to contact Honda of America. I contacted them and they said that there was nothing that they could do. I shouldn't have to fork out money for a bad paint job. My car is rusting. Please help me.

Paint and finish bubbling and peeling on hood, roof, some on trunk. In the worst spots paint is worn away down to the metal, creating rusting hazard. On hood, peeled paint can blow onto the windshield, interfering with vision and distracting the driver. Vehicle has been inspected by a USAA insurance adjuster and by Rudolf Body and Paint in El Paso, TX.

I have noticed that the paint on my Honda Civic 2017 is flaking and peeling off. The issue is most apparent on the side of the rear view glass and near the right-side tail light which seems to be worsening over time. It was my sister’s car before she gave it to me. She took care of it before she passed away and now I’ll continue to take good care of her car and have not had any repainting or significant damage in the affected areas that I know of. This seems to be an issue…

The NH-788P White Orchid Pearl Paint that was given an extended warranty due to a "paint peeling problem" on the Fit and HR-V models is now affecting Civics. I currently own a 2017 Civic Hatchback with the same paint, from the same country of manufacturing origin, within the same time frame, and was never given an extension warranty and currently am being denied help. The worst paint peeling, under the trunk, is actually protected from weather ... this is easily a defect…
