    Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

    Risk: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

    While driving the car on April 19, 2026, the car started losing engine power, was unable to maintain current speed of roadway, had to drive less than 15 miles an hour to a safe location.     The car stalls upon acceleration while driving. At times it will stall in the middle of the road; skipping repeatedly or simply not accelerating at all. There are often no warning signs at all, though when it skips repeatedly upon acceleration, the engine check light will appear. The car can be available for inspection upon request.

    The Civic idles low after coming to a stop. Idles approximately 500 rpm’s. Periodically it will drop below 500 and stall. About 3 occurrences so far. Once at 500, there is no throttle response. The pedal can be fully depressed and the motor will continue to idle. Throttle response will occur anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds later. My work around is to take the car out of DRIVE and put it back.     Fuel injectors failing before 65,000 miles, causing cylinder 1, 2, and 3 misfires consistently. This problem is known by Honda, but was never recalled. This is on all of the 1.5L engine models sold after 2016. They have even created a new part with the necessary flex joints to correct the issue, but charge out of pocket for inevitable and completely unavoidable replacement. This is nearly a $1400 repair from an OEM part that is guaranteed to fail around 60-70k miles.…

    My fuel injectors have failed for the second time today. The first time they failed at 54k miles and the second time they failed at 94k miles. Both times I was on the expressway driving at least 55mph when suddenly the car does not accelerate and I am forced to pull over as my car slows down.     Fuel pump failed at 87463 miles Making a grinding noise and had to recede the speed from 50 mph to 25 mph to get to my destination. The engine sounded like it was misfiring and engine lines along with errors showed up in the dashboard.
