Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and 2023-2025 Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview image not to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview camera that fails to display the correct image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

I am 99% sure my vehicle is compromised via a cybersecurity incident. My emergency brake will sometimes slam for no reason, no multi media system updates have occurred for over two years, and the vehicle will randomly beep on its own, unlocking the doors. Another major issue is a recent electric harness failure that the mechanics have no idea how it happened. It cost me over 8,000. Warning lights also turn on for no apparent reason such as parking, sensors, and other…

While driving forward at approximately 20MPH, the automatic emergency brake system activated, causing the vehicle to come to a stop. There were no vehicles or other object in front of the vehicle that should have caused the automatic brake system to activate. This has been an ongoing problem with this vehicle. The system cannot be turned off or disabled by the driver. This system engaging on its own creates a major safety hazard, as vehicles behind have to stop to avoid…

I have so many problems with my truck and the surging engine as well as squealing brakes, lane assist is disabled but comes on and jerks the truck out of my lane and it's impossible to steer almost causing me to crash numeroys times. Every time I try to get the engine replaced which I've been waiting over a year and I was in Phase 2 and every Toyota dealership tells me something different. I can't even sell this truck privately because it needs a new engine. I have 25,300…

The cover on the passenger side mirror has a cover with a camera attached that keeps flying off on highways. Last time it came detached from the vehicle and tripped my collision control sending my vehicle into an emergency stop for no reason. I had no warning that this was going to come off nor should I expect body panels to fly off my vehicle. I have expressed this to Toyota and showed evidence of this being a well documented issue with other customers and they are still…

LTA feature engaged out of nowhere and my dashboard lit up with red, green and yellow warnings all at once and made my truck swerve back and forth and prevented me from having any control and steered me directly into oncoming traffic almost causing me to have a head on collision. Also the brakes automatically come on out of nowhere for no reason and has almost given me whiplash. I just had major neck surgery with plates and screws put in my cervical spine and if this keeps…

Twice it has felt like I was being rear ended. Something is making a slamming motion on the truck when it is stopped. First time was at a stop light, second time was backing up but stopped to put the truck in "drive". I have tried looking up to see if this truck was affected in a 2022 recall but the information is unavailable.

My vehicle was parked next to a fire hydrant and when i returned to the vehicle none of the warning cameras or alerts was able to pick up the object. There seems to be a glitch when the vehicle is turned completely off and then restarted with a small object in the blind spot.

While driving off from a red light, we experienced a severe jolt from when the emergency braking system engaged on its own. There was no vehicle in front us at the time of the incident. The sudden stop was so severe, I thought we had gotten rear ended. This is the second time this incident has happened to us in this vehicle. The first time my wife and 3 small children were accelerating from a stop sign. The truck came to a violent sudden stop. My wife was terrified. We took…
