While driving my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe at approximately 70 mph in Hybrid mode the vehicle suddenly and without warning experienced a complete loss of propulsion while I was traveling in traffic. The vehicle would no longer respond normally to the accelerator and I was unable to maintain speed. The Drive (D) indicator began flashing and multiple warning lights and messages appeared on the instrument cluster. I specifically remember the red battery/charging-system…

The high voltage battery failed to charge, power surges and power drops while on highway plus burning smell. Charger stopped charging and gave warning light. No one was able to replicate so I was forced to take vehicle back. I am in [XXX] and asked if this could be the issue. No one could verify or give me advice. Having done my own investigations I see high temperatures can affect and cause thermal fires. The manufacturer is not taking this seriously and also dealers in…

On two separate occasions, documented with the dealership, while driving, the Jeep failed to accelerate and instead decelerated. On one occasion, this occurred while I was in a single lane on ramp merging onto a highway and reached approximately 45mph. On a separate occasion, I was just pulling out of my subdivision and reaching approximately 30-35 mph when the same issue occurred. Both times, I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road as best as possible, and restarted…

I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN: [VIN removed]). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired…

Following 2nd battery recall, acceleration, especially with the electric on, is sluggish and then suddenly electric fails and gas engine kicks in with a lurch. Electric no longer has the power it did prior to the recall and this provides uncertain acceleration for entering freeway from onramps or during other periods of needed acceleration.

On July 3rd I was driving on the highway, and the Jeep went into limp mode. When it ran out of the electric charge, it didn’t switch over to the gas engine and became un-drivable. I brought it to a Jeep service center and they kept it until July 7th. They were not able to figure out why that happened, but obviously it is part of the recall.

Lost all power to vehicle after driving for approximately 40 minutes, around 60-70 MPH. I was driving on the highway and then lost all power. I was able to pull off of the interstate and got a few blinking messages. The only one I remember was "Shift to P to Start". I could not accelerate at all and probably had less than a minute to get to safety before the car coasted to a stop and I was forced to put the car in park and turn it back on. It seemed like a forced restart on…

On 11/7/25 I brought my Jeep Wrangler 4xe for the two active recalls and an oil change. The battery recall could not be done. The motive power was supposedly fixed. Since then there has been a new problem. The Jeep gets to the point of stall (like the motive power issue) however right before the stall it surges. This really caught me off guard the first few times and I barely avoided three accidents. Now I know when it feels like it is going to stall to be prepared to slam…

Jeep 4XE loss of motive power. Was driving and warning came on to Service Charging System and lost all power while driving on freeway. Had to coast to a safe place to pull over. Screen told me to put vehicle in park. Put it in park, turned engine off, then turned it back on and it drove fine. Posted to Jeep 4XE group as this issue seems fairly common on there and they mentioned that you guys are looking into this issue and called it loss of motive power.

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler has been inspected by two different dealerships 6-7 times, and I have submitted four cases through Jeep Wave, including a request for a buyback. While driving on the highway or on city streets, the vehicle experiences a speed reduction to 5-10 miles per hour, with a stiff steering wheel and hard brakes. Warning messages appear, including: "Engine Light," "Service Transmission. Continue in D. Do Not Shift or Turn Off Engine Until You Reach a Desired…

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that after reversing out of a parking space and shifting the vehicle into drive, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. As a result, the contact briefly lost control of the vehicle, which then glanced off the rear of another parked vehicle, coming to a complete stop after colliding with a concrete pillar. The contact also stated that while the vehicle was accelerating, he did make attempts to maneuver and slow…
