Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Model Y vehicles. The front and rear suspension knuckles may fracture, causing the suspension links to separate.
Risk: Suspension links that separate can reduce vehicle stability and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Tesla Service will inspect and replace the knuckles as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 18, 2022. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla's number for this recall is SB-21-31-004.

On [xxx], I brought my 2022 Tesla Model Y (VIN [XXX]), with approximately 31,000 miles, to Tesla Service in Owings Mills, Maryland. During the inspection, Tesla identified significant deterioration of the front suspension bushings. Tesla’s written estimate states: “recommend to replace lateral links and compliance links due to bushing being torn and dry rotting.” Tesla recommended replacement of the front lower lateral link assemblies and front lower compliance links. The…

After only 34,306 miles, the front lower forward suspension control arms (left and right) and front lower rearward csuspension control arms and ball joints need to be replaced. I discovered this when having the tires replaced. This seems to be a common issue with this model, but failure of these parts is very premature. There was no accident or incident, but the replacement of these parts is critical to the safety of the vehicle.

Every little bump or weight shift my car makes, the rear suspension makes a creeping slide. I've already had to replace control arms in tube front suspension for a loud clunking noise

2022 Tesla Model Y - Premature inner rear tire wear due to excessive negative camber from factory. Both rear tires worn to cords on inside edge at 17k miles, outside tread 6/32 still. Alignment specs show rear camber out of spec caused by short factory rear camber arms. This is a known defect, creates blowout risk at highway speed. Vehicle never modified, never in accident. Mileage 113,136. I have photos. Bronx NY.

--torn bushings on both the lateral and compliance links --my understand is that torn bushings, if they completely failed, could cause a wheel to lose its rigid control causing the control arm to shift wildly, causing severe steering wander, loud clunking noises over bumps, unstable braking, and rapid, uneven tire wear. In worst-case scenarios, it can lead to a sudden loss of vehicle control and at worst cause an accident --also, this can also cause alignment issues and…

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving severe, difficult-to-detect inner-edge tire wear on my Tesla that resulted in a tire failure on Highway 101. The tire failed while I was driving on the highway, creating a dangerous situation and significant traffic disruption. After the failure, I discovered severe wear concentrated on the INSIDE edge of the tire. The concerning part is that the normally visible tread appeared serviceable. An owner can therefore believe the…

The bushings on my vehicles front suspension completely failed at 47k miles and required replacement. The vehicle was under warranty and the manufacturer replaced them free of charge, but I'd heard that this component is being investigated. To be clear, the front lower lateral links and compliance arms all had to be replaced.

The car started having a lound clicking sound while making a right turn while I exit from my workplace garage. I started driving home and I was on the freeway and suddenly got an alert from the car saying I need a wheel alignment check. I drove slowly and arrived home. When I was making a turn on my drive way to the garage, I again heard a loud clunk and the car front side appears to be elevated and stopped moving. I went out and saw the left front driver's side looks weired…
