I had my vehicle in for a state inspection at a Ford dealership. They told me they could not remove the rear wheels because the lug nuts were swollen. In order to remove the rear wheels the lug nuts will be destroyed. What happens if I get a flat tire? How will I get the tire off? I have to get a new set of lug nuts and have them available if I ever want to get the rear wheels off. This is nuts (excuse the pun)! Ford should replace these lug nuts not me.

The lug nuts on all four wheels needed to be replaced because of swelling. This was determined by Evergreen Ford when I brought the truck in for oil change and tire rotation, etc. If this was not found it could have been a huge safety risk for the occupants in the truck and for others. A wheel very likely could have come off causing sever injury or death. If Evergreen Ford did not notice the problem I could heave been driving with faulty lug nuts. I did replace all the lug…
