While driving, the vehicle suddenly developed a severe, loud mechanical ticking noise from the engine compartment, immediately followed by a drastic loss of engine power and violent vehicle shaking. The vehicle experienced an active cylinder misfire caused by a failure within the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, where a cylinder deactivation lifter collapsed and became stuck. This mechanical failure creates an extreme safety hazard. The sudden drop in throttle response,…

Over the last week, my truck power has been almost shutting down after the stabilitrac warning appears on the dash while I’m turning or going over uneven pavement. The whole system shut down once already when turning around in a driveway. I have a new battery. Spark plugs are good. ABS is good. There are no recalls I can find, but this must be electrical somehow. Help me pls before it causes an accident.

I own a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado equipped with a GM V8 engine that experienced significant engine failure symptoms consistent with known GM engine defect issues and related recall/service campaign concerns. Prior to failure, the vehicle began exhibiting abnormal engine noises, warning lights, performance issues, and symptoms indicating internal engine damage. The condition worsened and resulted in major engine failure requiring extensive repair or engine replacement. The…

I have put 2 cat converters in 2 yrs in this truck there was a recall for an engine control module that when it gets heated could start a fire but it gets too hot and the converter gets clogged and oil starts going through engine. The dealer us out of business and went to jail. I can't keep putting new converts in and can't get inspection sticker because it causes the check engine light yo come on. What do I do now?

When driving in traffic about 10 mph engine shuts down and power steering goes out. . When I slow to turn, the engine shuts down sometimes and the power steering goes out. No warnings. I’m afraid to drive it. I almost hit a lady while turning in a parking lot because the steering went out and it died. Sometime it’s hard to turn the key to start the truck. This has happened 9 or 10 times now.

I bought a truck from Paul Gerber Auto sales, Inc(used car dealer) in Omaha Nebraska. The transmission is bad because of the torque converter and a known issue where the transmission fluid gets too hot causing the torque converter to become damaged. There are also multiple known safety recalls with this vehicle and the issue with the transmission has been confirmed by a independent mechanic. The dealer had me driving it down roads that didn't take the vehicle through all of…

The air conditioner condenser has a small leak causing the refrigerant to leak out. This is a known problem with all gm Silverado 2014-2017 and a recall needs to be issued. They are all leaking in the same place due to a faulty weld from the factory.

I am writing to report a significant mechanical failure with my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, which I believe warrants further attention due to its potential safety implications and its connection to a widely documented defect affecting many GM vehicles equipped with Active Fuel Management (AFM) systems. The engine suffered lifter and camshaft failure. This is a well-known problem with GM trucks using AFM systems and can pose a safety hazard, particularly if the vehicle stalls…

the truck went in for the fuel injector number 6 again. went in on June 13 and on the 12 as well. on the 12 they said it was the number 6 coil. they then gave it back but the next day had to be returned again for the same problem. this time they found the number 6 fuel injector was possibly shorted out. the service manager did call and said that i was right that it was the fuel injector. i feel that i paid for a coil that should not have been replaced in the first place.
