    Electronic Brake Module Component Failure

On April 11, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24011 after receiving complaints concerning a loss of brake assist in 2023 MY Cadillac Lyriq vehicles. These complaints allege a hard brake pedal, followed by a “Brake System Failure” message at start up or while driving. GM shared records regarding several internal investigations for loss of brake assist due to alleged spindle fractures in the eBoost system. GM has stated that in the event of a spindle fracture, anti-lock brakes (ABS), stability control, and traction control remain functional until th…

When I purchased my car, I was given an alert from the brake sensor that the front pads needed service. I returned the car to the dealer and they were able to reset the alert. A few months later, I got another alert that the front brake pads were at 18%. My car was still under warranty and the brake sensors in the front were replaced, but the software update was not installed at this time. A few months after that, I got another alert that my front brake pads needed to be…

I was driving down the road and plactic trim piece where super cruise is at top of steering cracked popped off itself with that piece off its hard to steer properly without hitting inside of your hand I have to be careful not to get cut where plastic broke because its sharp. I had around 59900 miles when this happened 2 weeks ago. Cheverolet only sales the whole steering wheel and doesnt offer the 20.00 piece of plastic so the cost is closer to 2000 to get installed and new…

Master cylinder failure on interstate caused complete loss of braking. No accident. Shop replaced master cylinder per GM bulletin. Warning light for brake assist failure came on and pedal went to the floor. This could’ve ended in a mass casualty situation, thank god we were in wide open territory and could coast to a stop which took over a mile in neutral.

There has been multiple times that the Brake system fails and different codes on dashboard pop up which makes brakes not work and looses power train , the vehicle has to be put in neutral in order to stop on highways and roads which has put my life in danger

A software update caused the warning lights to go on and off despite no issues surrounding the vehicle (lane assist, forward collision warning). While driving on the interstate going 70MPH the forward collision light flashed a warning which then reduced the cars speed from 70MPH to 40MPH within a very short period of time. This is a huge safety concern and no accident happened as there were no other vehicles around at the time.

I have a 2024 chevy traverse. Purchased april 30, 2024. One of the 1st ones ever made. The rear windows no longer work. The switch makes a ticking sound but nothing happens. The front windows sometimes work. Sometimes not. And they pause when going back up. I am aware of GM bulletin 25-na-022 which emcompasses this exact failure for 24/25 chevy traverses. When i called GM Marietta told me thar my vehicle was not included in the bulletin. Even though i have the same exact…

The Defective Software Trigger: vehicle’s dashboard Brake Pad Life Monitor indicated the pads were low showing 19% roughly 3.5-4mm remaning life. Upon arrival to the dealership, I was informed that my rotors would also need to be resurfaced. I contested a mandatory rotor resurfacing policy. I openly disagreed with this arbitrary "store policy" but was forced to comply to get my vehicle serviced. The dealership stated they would refuse to replace the pads unless I paid…

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the rear driver's side window failed to open or close while depressing the buttons on the driver's door and on the passenger's door to control the window. While depressing the brake pedal to attempt to slow down, and while in reverse, the brakes were squeaking. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for the window failure. The dealer diagnosed that the brake pads had failed and needed to be replaced. The…
