Headlight beams do not function. Beam lights come on upon starting car then turn off moments after. Then I am driving done the street in complete darkness. I have taken the Jeep to the dealership of purchase ( Elmhurst Chrysler/jeep/dodge Elmhurst Illinois [phone removed] ) 4 times over several months. They have confirmed the problem. Two days ago they had me replaced the battery. There was NO messages or other warnings that the lights have failed.

The car keeps saying the turn signals are out when they all function properly. The car is equipped with the LED factory headlight systems. When it thinks the bulb is out it makes everything flash or turn off so other drivers can’t see your signal. Several other users are also reporting issues online. Dealer says the only way to fix is an entirely new head light assembly at $1300 since the turn signal bulbs are built into the headlight and should be a lifetime part.

This applies to ALL vehicles not just this one. The bulbs should be designed and able to be changed in the lot of a store not only by a dealer. I will be forwarding this to my rep and the White House. This BS has been going on for decades and this department has allowed this extreme safety concern to continue. Lights can burn out anywhere and anytime and to make this dealer maintenance is BS since they all have backlogs, limited hours and limited qualified workers.

Driving home on dark, deserted roads, my brights will not click on. When I click, nothing happens. When I hold the turner back in the mode to “flash my brights”, the bright headlights will come on. I had to drive holding this back almost an hour so I could see. I had a mechanic look and he said the switch is wired to the computer, so it is not an easy fix, but will have to go to the dealership. This is a safety issue. Dealerships are far from me and expensive. I’ve never had…

The computer system keeps intermittently saying the turn signal bulbs are out turning off the front signal when you want to use it. The bulbs are a bunch of LED’s in the headlight and it shouldn’t turn off all of them even if one is out (they are all working properly regardless). It seems to be a fault within the computer system either inside the headlight assembly or in the car.

Hi, I’ve noticed with this Jeep and the two newer cars before it would have my dash lit up when my headlights weren’t on. This is giving me and other drivers of these cars the false impression that my headlights must be on. So many folks are driving with either just fog lights or no lights at all because their dash is lit up. Before this technology your dash would be dim and that way you knew you needed to turn your headlights on. This is becoming so common I see 1-2 every…

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after turning the vehicle off, the brake lights remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the Hydraulic Control Unit was faulty and needed to be reprogramed. The Hydraulic Control Unit was reprogrammed under NHTSA Campaign: 22V426000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) but the failure persisted. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified…

All three brake lights stayed illuminated during car operation regardless of brake pedal pressed. I was able to shift and start my car without pressing the brake putting my family and other pedestrians at risk of being run over if the car shifted out of park unexpectedly. Also no warning lights were on at all, so I drove on the road with my brake lights illuminated increasing risk for injury or death in a crash. It turns out the part is a hydraulic control unit. It was…

UConnect screen delaminating, changing setting, turning on/off heat, ac, temps, seat warmers, making calls, changing radio stations, all while driving. Unable to use any bluetooth features. All the jumping around on the screen and adjustments while driving is a HUGE distraction and safety concern for distracted driving. Dealers will not replace without charging at minimum $2000, and replacement option is ordering the same unit again, which will eventually have the exact same…

Screen started to delaminate two years ago. Slowly started glitching. It now glitches constantly while driving. It randomly turns on and off, calls people, turns seat heaters on and off, changes channel, turns back up camera on and off etc. This is a major safety concern while driving. When I researched this online it appears to be a very widespread issue for all 2018 Jeeps. I have also had to replace my headlights 3 times in the last 1 1/2 years. I feel there is a…

2 Issue Related to Electrical/Lights: 1) The touch screen has delaminated. This started a while ago (appx. 2020) and was only an aesthetic issue until very recently. Appx. 3 months ago (3/2023) the screen started to have a "ghost button" where different things were being pressed. For example, music changed, seat warmers turned on/off, etc. The most dangerous of these issues was a dark screen turning bright, which can be blinding at night. Definitely a safety issue since some…

There is an electrical failure that causes the blinkers to stop working, shortly after noticing this issue the vehicle will fail to start after travelling to my destination. This has happened more than twice and there are no recalls shown for the "Limited" version of this vehicle. The standard edition seems to have confirmed recalls for the same issues that the Limited version is experiencing. A mechanic has described an electrical short circuit. I encourage looking into the…
